Taane Milne (official)

yes it has been more than 10 days , I think we have sign no-one and that is why we have heard nothing, I think all this talk is just that talk. and to be fair dinkum how many of these players do u really think the tigers will sign. if past stats are anything to go bye the answer is maybe 1.

How would you know that?

Not necessarily, as everyone is well aware, we have the money to spend so I don't think Cleary will be putting all his eggs in one basket.

It could also mean that despite McQueen agreeing to terms with the Tigers, he may not have actually put pen to paper until recently. He is in another state after all, it may take a little more time to meet him for the final time and rubber-stamp the deal.

Or they perhaps held back the signature until Cleary had taken a look at the contract and himself rubber-stamped it.

Plenty of rationale for why there might be a delay, as reasonable as him not actually signing yet. Just stay calm and be patient, if he's gonna sign, we'll hear it when the club is ready.

Often a player agreeing to terms and the final signing and hence 10 day cooling off can take a little while as clubs need to lock down any final details. Happens all the time with all kinds of contracts

This 10 day cooling off period has to stop.. Maybe 48 hours but 10 days is just stupid..
Time for the NRL to wake up

It's Consumer Law: individuals are entitled to a standard 10-day cooling off period on signed contracts.

Except we're dealing with employment law and not consumer law. They could scrub it if they wanted but it serves a purpose, so I doubt they will.

But what about Idris?

I know right lol Idris is going to be awesome I honestly can't wait till he's fully match fit a highlight for me the other night was when he ran at Gavin Cooper and made him do a back flip that wouldn't of happend much to Gavin lol
Idris could become one of our best players but this Kid sounds good to

I thought Idris had a really good game playing on the right side. Hopefully he'll get better with a bit more game time.

He goes better over there as he gets to utilise a great left fend in attack that is a similarly good weapon to that of Taupau, albeit the opposite arm.

Geez, the Milne rumour only surfaced on Saturday. Let's say he signed last Thursday or Friday it means the club would still be another week away from announcing it. Hopefully the new about McQueen will relax people a bit. Have some patience. Things will happen.

I suspect the 10 day cool off doesn't apply if he wants to go immediately and the Dragons grant it. In the sense that he doesn't have to wait to go. He can probably still retract but he wouldn't be forced to sit around at Dragons HQ.
