Taane Milne

Give Marsters Milnes money this year he deserves it and a 3 year extension. I like the look of Tony Tali as depth.

It would explain us supposedly looking at Ross Dogg.

and Ross is playing at centre this week

That’s sad. They just have no idea how blessed they are to have these contracts. Maybe too much money and can’t handle it, don’t know what to do with it.

We are very light on centres now.

Lawrence and MWZ are not first grade quality centres.

Chee Kam and Fonua could play there but it would be a very laterally slow three quarter line and I suspect team would target which ever side of the field they were on.

Nofa played a bit of centre in junior football and I would be willing to see how he went there.

Neither of Tali or Price, who have been playing centre for ISP, are close to being good enough.

Im not a Tali fan. Has errors in his game and often makes the wrong decision. He does not have any real weapons that make up for those flaws.

That's a shame. Second offence, I wonder if we knew about the first when we signed him?

Hope Taane gets the help he needs. The only upside out of this is our coffers are looking quite strong.

Agreed on both counts and we won't be paving overs for junk or in a panic..

Maybe England is worth a look…

We would've had to if its on his record…

Given we are looking to change the culture why would we have signed him. Unless they thought he was remorseful and had potential.

There are plenty available next year that could do a job - Auva'a, Bowen, Ferguson, Kelly, Leutele, O'Neill etc. None of them are going to be made available this year though. Maybe Braidon Burns or Tom Opacic would be a chance of getting a release, they're talented but a little down the depth charts where they are now.

So the two centres many tipped as our starters in the off season have been sacked. Glad the club is setting a strong culture to aim for success.

Badly need to pick up a centre now.

Not that badly.
Marsters and Kevie are killing it. We have Marshall and Reynolds vying for a spot and if I was coach I would be looking at moving Reynolds to Center.

More worried about 2nd row.

Not good, was hoping he'd be our starting centre when we signed him, had high hopes. Looks like he did too.

Fonua played centre all through 2014 at the Storm so I'd say he would be next off the block. His record at centre is actually much stronger then when he was on the wing. His attacking stats were better at centre and he made significantly less errors.

Chee-Kam can play centre although i'd rather he didn't

Are we desperate for a centre - probably not but we have up to 3 spots to fill for this year and 2 of those spots were filled by centres. Cleary has driven the depth drives competition well if you loose it you have to replace it

They took on Packer, and he's proving his worth - All things considered Taane's indiscretions aren't as serious as Packers were, however he's now blown it.

Love the fact the club just announce it and move on. No sweeping it under the rug….I'm looking at you Broncos, Roosters, Manly.....

Yeah fair call. Parker's attitude has been great.
