The fact they are the Majority owner of WT it would very unlikely they are not supportive.If you look at when Balmain Tigers went broke they ( HBG) has kept the JV going by their financial funding they also picked up the 4Mil debt Balmain owed to the NRL .Its a shame there is very little appreciation for that good will from a sector of so called WT fans.

I think that's the different mentality between some of us. I was a balmain supporter, but I would have let them die there. They made some very dumb decisions. It's all about wests tigers moving forward. I'd be more than happy if balmain were completely removed from WT board. Just have a seat for HBG and veto power to wipe the board.

... and when we talk about funding. It's community money. The directors facilitate its distribution. Like all the leagues clubs in Australia. It's not shareholder or private money, with the exception of the debenture funding which should be ring-fenced.

Old Balmain fans are well aware of the state of affairs and what got them to that point just like how the merger came about in the first place. The reality is "Wests Tigers" is the club that fans have been supporting now for the last 25 years and the one registered with the NRL, despite the the constant poor image that the club generates via its leadership and on field results. The fan base is there ready and supportive - the leadership in the meantime appear to have other motives going on.

G'day @Chunk I was speaking to a very polite and decent young tradie where I live just recently.
He said he lived in Campbelltown but followed P'matta because his father followed P'matta.
He said he was told by reliable people that Wests Tigers as we know the club atm, won't exist in a couple of years, but wouldn't go into any more detail.

Benny's offer to buy WTs,the Blue Wiggles slip of the tough then old Garry Leo and Co and the emails wanting out.Theres been a few hey ,wonder if they all know ?

we are coming up to the one year anniversary of the agreement to adopt the review I believe

did the review process anticipate that the implementation would take so long ?

I cannot speak to the motives of strangers.

I can guess they’re sick of all the losing like most of us.

Richo was saying a couple of months back that there are just a few straight forward legal matters to address and then all the review recommendations will be adopted 👍

Richo was saying a couple of months back that there are just a few straight forward legal matters to address and then all the review recommendations will be adopted 👍

He also said Turkeys don’t usually vote for Christmas and has called out Board members as Blazer wearers a few times. I doubt he’d be HBG’s favourite guy.

Hopefully they overlook all that because he knows how to run a footy club.
