This isn't about self-promotion and I think that comment is a little unfair on Joel. As I said to you at the time you launched your petition that I didn't think your petition went far enough. It's getting late but I have 1 thing to say - It's great that the NEW petition is going ahead. I did ask for support for my petition which was warmly welcomed and we got 46 solid supporters on board. I don't like self promoting people like Joel. I find this a bit too insider trading like. Why didn't he sign Lucy's Petition?
Jeez mate. I don't know Joel, but he's one of the most quiet blokes on here. Pretty sure he mostly reads what others have to say and stays out of trouble. It's getting late but I have 1 thing to say - It's great that the NEW petition is going ahead. There’s nothing in it for me but unpaid work and stress! It's getting late but I have 1 thing to say - It's great that the NEW petition is going ahead. Oh FFS.The Mole: 'Secret talks' opened with Kiwi franchise as fractures grow at Wests Tigers

The strife torn Wests Tigers merger is set to suffer another body blow with the Kiwi South Island Kea franchise opening secret talks with Balmain.
In a stunning move, Wide World of Sports can reveal that Kea bosses contacted their Balmain counterparts last week to discuss a possible partnership.
It comes in the wake of revelations of just how large the divide is between the Western Suburbs and Balmain sides of the Wests Tigers joint venture.https://www.nine.com.au/sport/baske...ddey-stars-injury-return-20241229-p5l149.html
The Kea, based in Christchurch, are hoping to become the 19th team to enter the NRL and believe that joining forces with Balmain, a foundation club when rugby league was born in Australia in 1908, will be a massive boost to their chances.
That would leave Western Suburbs to return as a stand alone club in the NRL - a move several influential board members at Concord have been pushing for in recent times.
Reports on the weekend of leaked texts and emails showed that the animosity between Wests and Balmain has reached a point where the two clubs will find it difficult to co-exist into the future.
Many senior Balmain officials want to remain in the merger with Wests - but that seems doomed.
And if it does fall apart, they will entertain joining up with the Kea - their only way of staying in the NRL's top tier.
The Kea plan to divide their games between their home stadium in Christchurch and Balmain's spiritual home ground of Leichhardt Oval, a venue cherished by many fans in the NRL.
NRL officials rejected the Kea bid several months ago but the possible union with Balmain adds plenty of attraction to the bid.
Far out. These balmain idiots. Why do we have bloody children on both boards?!The Mole: 'Secret talks' opened with Kiwi franchise as fractures grow at Wests Tigers

unless they are of the opinion Magpies are going to change the name to wests MagpiesFar out. These balmain idiots. Why do we have bloody children on both boards?!
The only hope is that this is purely one sided. It may be a desperate move from Kea. Balmain need to come out and shut this down immediately.
Denny is the name he generally goes by…He’s Burgos mate / family member / burgess himself. It’s pretty clear with the way he referred to Dennis as Denny . That’s a slip up , and insight . I’d say only close mates would call someone named Dennis , Denny . Especially on a forum .

The Mole.....once again trying hard to be a journalist and make himself relevant.
As much as it pains me to say, the Kea Tigers and Wests Magpies seems like a viable solution, given the circumstances. I know Richo recently said staff turnover is down in 24 from the 36% in 23 but we’ve tried mixing water with oil for 25years. It hasn’t worked and we will not be successful with continued high staff turnover.
It cracks me up there’s a thought from anyone that the Balmain Tigers can sell anything. They sold absolutely everything they owned and were ‘gifted’ a minor share in the football club as a gesture of goodwill.I stand by my earlier claim we havent reached rock bottom yet.
The merger splitting and Balmain joining forces with some sheep shaggers is a delightful twist lol….
I have not changed my opinion that any JOINT-VENTURE in sports is just a power struggle from day one! Wests Magpies and Balmain Tigers are yesterday's news and for 20 odd years we have had the Wests Tigers (end of story). As a long time Magpies supporter before the merger, Wests Ashfield should be committed for the term of the NRL Licence to operate as WESTS TIGERS (IMO). If Wests Ashfield want to exert their 90% ownership power it must NEVER be at the expense of a name change. Magpies and Balmain can play in the NSW Cup or Massey Cup (whatever) but the NRL need to step in and end this media rubbish and remind/threaten Wests Ashfield that the licence is at stake if they don’t sort it ASAP. The game comes first and it is Wests Tigers or alternatively remove them from the NRL and offer the licence to another Franchise.
