At close of play today there are 18 hardy souls who have signed on for this battle. We cannot allow our Club to be trashed like this following the alleged leak and the subsequent weasel worded response from Romero. Today was meant to cast a shining light on our new recruits and team as a whole at the member's Training Day Event.

Instead, this rubbish finds its way into the spotlight. Shame on all those Board members and their behind the scenes lackeys who have never strapped on a footy boot in anger!

I said to Chris Warren the secret to success will be to empower the fans to become voting members (eg. the right to vote for at least 1 Independent Director). Membership would go thru the roof! He was too busy wiping face paint from toddlers' faces after today's event to provide a reply.

I can’t see it happening… and it doesn’t really improve the situation for anyone … the MacArthur region is big enough to have its own team ,,.so it doesn’t make sense to move away from the one they have now

These people are political animals. There was a mutiny last time and instead of resigning, then asking for a review, they held on hoping the review would clear them of incompetence.

Then we find out they've managed to weasel their way back into positions of power.

I signed the petition, also I can't see Vlandys allowing this garbage any more, surely the N.R.L need to get involved and force major board and constitutional reform of some sort. I know HBG are separate from the N.R.L and cannot just be told, though if it was me I'm calling the liquor and gaming mob who received the complaint and telling them to do to HBG what was done to Parramatta. The N.R.L would have the clout and political pull to force it I reckon.

If wests magpies did get forced to remove them and all thier likeness in this hypothetical ownership change , you could very easily change the name to Western , or West Sydney or even Sydney .
The club would never be called Balmain again .
