Taking the two

Considering the fact that the Warriors aren’t renowned for their strong defence even with a full team on the field, it was a diabolical decision both times.

Taking the 2 twice just goes to show we have no faith in our abilities to score a try even with the extra man
We are gutless
We just can't finish off a game or go for the kill
We don't have it in us
You take the two to win If there is a couple of minutes to go
You don't take it when the opposition has time to score again, twice
It was a momentum killer
Our players have no faith in their own abilities
It has now become a major psychological issue
We never seem to be able to win the close games
Sitting through 70 minutes of football nearly every week hoping for the win only to be let down again
I hate it
It is so depressing

Going to Palm Cove for a few beers today
If the replay is on the TV I will be pissed

replay is on at 12,get a move on,lol

I enjoyed my two pints of beer and Blue cheese burger in peace
No TV in sight thank god
Just Me , My Dog and Ah Ah Ah, oh yeah my Misses

Look at Reece Walsh

How many players have you seen play that well. I've been watching rugby league for say 40 years. I can't remember too many players having a game to that high standard.

If that kid keeps at that level he will be a great player.

The issue is that a player like that comes along once every blue moon. There aren't 1000's of them running around just waiting for the chance for a coach to pick them.

You mean like Papenhuyzen and Addo-Carr
We need to give some players a go to see what they have got
To many of our 1sts have been given a go
A long go and they still can't perform
We know what they have got
In many cases it's not good
It is time to blood some new players
Or what is the point of having them

Roosters following our lead by taking the two ?

Broncos just too good tonight, surprisingly.

The first one I agree with, but the second wasn’t on. However the amount of times Brooks dummied and went himself instead of passing did my head in. He really is a clueless halfback that will rarely win you games. But it’s across the park where we play some dumb football at very important times.

To go wide you need strike. We don't have it so throwing the ball wide is a waste of time.

Yes, surprising, at least we did to get the lead, they were still going to be 14 pts behind, maybe they were backing themselves to score 3 times😂

Don’t think Victor Ridley will be playing for the next week or 2?

We are all strike out wide. Our backs might be crap defending but get the ball on the run to douhei or BJ and we most likely score.

I think it was the right decision..

Tackling would also seems to be a good decision too..but you can't have everything..

Yes they were decisions that were going to be judged in hindsight by the final result.

The NRLs dirty little secret.

This happens because Brooks has no players in motion. It is extremely frustrating to see as you said but not for that reason. A pet play Benji used to do at the Tigers and now does at the bunnies is cut out to the winger with the centre and backrower running the line at speed with the intention of getting the ball, it works 9 times out of 10 because the defence is genuinely tested and they're put in two minds. That is just an example though of the difference it makes when players are in motion. Brooks doesn't cart the ball up like a prop and cut back in because that is what he is thinking, he just doesn't have anyone willing to run with him and create options, it is annoying.

The trouble was we hardly had the ball during the 10 minutes they had 12. Once we blew it with Blore forward pass the Warriors got a penalty and then we had no ball for that period till the they had thirteen again.
We were beat by an 18 year old with the confidence of seasoned FGer and RTS. Can't underestimate the value of a couple of quality players.

They had back to back sin bins. They played with 12 men for 20minutes and out scores us 12-4.

And then we go within a bee's appendage of almost scoring twice when they had 13 in 4 minutes

I often wonder what the teams Psychologist says after games

That kid is at another level. That is very very rare. Papenhuyzen didn't get chances until very recently in Melbourne. Addo-Carr was given chances. We were just too dumb to keep him.

I also have no problems with playing juniors if they look ready. Give them a shot.

The point remains that there are going to be very very few players who ever play one game in the NRL to that level. There aren't going to be many kids running around who are that special. I can't think of many in the whole time I've been watching the game.
