Tallyn Da Silva #270

Blind Freddy could tell you TDS is going to be a star.
This may be the last straw in support of this club and a fan of the NRL. Had a gut full of of the shit we fans have to put up with
Cant blame you for feeling that way.
This club is full of crap.

ffs, the constant release of players and the lack of signings is so stupid

I’ve lost all faith in this shitty club

If he leaves at the end of 26, so be it but wtf are we doing letting him go early
The moment Galvin left us .. it was always on the cards that TDS would follow .. well that time is now upon us .. In reading the TDS report It reads as this could be a player swap deal .. ?? Let's hope that player deal is worked out with what ever club it is he is going to works out well for us .. we are letting go an up and coming superstar of the game .. whoever we get also better be an up and coming superstar in return .. !!

They are trying to get Kai Pearce Paul here early …. Who you expecting ?

Yeah this is a bad look, it can't be about money because the Tigers would be offering good money, surely they know what the market is.

So, why does he need to test the market?

I remember people saying this, myself included, when it became obvious Galvin was off.
We clearly dont work in this fashion when it comes to recruitment.

You're either with us or against us. TDS is friends with Galvin so he's the enemy. Api is still better then him and offers leadership if it's a choice between the 2 it's a no brainer.
What the hell are you going on about? Enemy? They are both here for the remainder of this year and all of next year.
Api will be 35 in 2027. He is not going to get better as time goes on.....
The kid will be 22 with 50+ NRL games and 2 more pre seasons under his belt by then, if used correctly.
Its a no brainer alright.

Honestly, I don't get the hype. I think he has some attributes that could turn him into a first-grader; however, he is a poor defender (yes, I know API is too). He often makes the wrong calls in games, which frustrates the halves. If Benji thinks he is the answer, he would still be on the bench or playing.

Sad it goes like this, but if it nets KPP early, I'm for it.

If we let him go for nothing, that would be a poor decision. Also, we can still make him see out his contract even though our track record is not good on this.

TDS needs to know his worth. Liddle is better then TDS and still does a job off the bench. If TDS isn't happy with that then he's not a staunch tiger.

Reading the tea leaves - we are about to anounce Api's extension and TDS has offers where he thinks he will be the starting hooker in 2027. He is not better than Api yet so if he has been given permission to go to the market early it is probably to open up an option for KPP (or someone else). Going to the market early doesn't mean we lose him early; unless we want that to happen. TDS will still provide valuable backup to Api in the short term. Potentially we already have a replacement in the ranks that will fit the timeline and if he doesn't gome good we purchase someone in.

This is all about timing for TDS - he wants to get into grade early. It doesn't suit us right now so we move on.

Mate if Tallyn becomes our no.1 hooker in season 2027, that will mark his 5th year in first grade.
This narrative that he is trying to jump the queue somehow isnt right.
By that time, he will well and truly have served his apprenticeship - all of it under Api who most claim is the best in the business still.

Abit like Harry Grant and Melbourne
