Don't know why we would want a guy who averages 20 games a season won a Premiership with Origin experience doesn't get dominated in tackles and can dominate in tackling, a leader not a follower and rates a 10 out of 5 in wrongness of head..

In his prime yes, but he’ll be 32 when he gets here, doesn’t really want to be here, only leaving Penrith because he has to. Here for all the wrong reasons. He’ll probably put in for the first half dozen performances and then he’ll be on cruise control looking out for his body come retirement.

His performance this year has been the strongest in his past 5 years, it is the clubs job to sell him on why he should come here. If he comes here with the attitude of not wanting to be here, that is our fault not his.

Didn’t say it was his. It’s our stupid fault because we keep doing the same thing and expect things to be different. Madness.

From the sounds of it he is quality leader and I doubt that he is just coming here for the pay packet. If we have identified him as that type of person, the noise about him is that he is, then this sounds like a good signing.

It is about identifying the needs of the club and targeting individuals that meet those needs

lol, I should have had the word just in there.

I did have the word just in there, he is coming here to play football, to lead a young forward pack. There are people who do things in life and make decisions that aren't just based on being paid.

3...your point being?

Are you arguing that an injury to his cervical spine, that resulted in the loss of feeling and movement in one arm, and required surgery and three months recovery is not a serious injury?

Bumps into Madge ..retirement fund problem solved !

Madge did not offer Tamou anything like the $800,000 p.a. which Cleary contracted his old mate Packer to.

My point being he has been relatively injury free.

Didn't slow him down as the following year he helped his team win the competition and then signed a monster deal to join Penrith and captain them to a minor premiership this year.

And my point is that he has had a very serious injury to his neck. Its not nothing and could come back to bite him late in his career.

From Memory - Packer is on 670 or 690k per year.
