Targets for 2017

How about Boyd Cordner. Apparently the roosters are going to tell him to leave and are not going to renew his contract from 2017 onwards.

Rorters just resigned Cordner until the end of 2018

😱pen_mouth: 😱pen_mouth:

THE Roosters have received a huge boost ahead of the 2016 NRL season with the re-signing of Boyd Cordner.

The star back-rower has signed a two-year deal until the end of 2018.

Scratch another one off… 😕

What about Aubusson, he is very underated, and stuck behind Guerra, Cordner and Lui, plus SBW looming.

Aubusson is a bit of a utility type. He's played centre, 2nd row and might be the round one 5/8\. as the other options at 5/8 might be out.

I can't see Aubusson as being good value for money. He's an average player on a good team - let someone else overpay him.

Hastings and Nikorima will be the halves in round 1, and they will go alright too.

Hastings will be there. I think Nikorima has a code of conduct breach or something. that's why they are looking at playing Aubusson for round One. he might escape a comp game suspension or might not. If he is suspended, they are looking at Aubusson for 5/8 for round one.

Not fussed about Corner,IMO he's overrated. Matt Gillett on the other hand….would love to get him to the WT but that will never happen.

Fair enough, didn't know that, if they do play Aubusson at 5/8th he won't let them down.

I think Aubusson may find his way into the backrow….Boyd Cordner has today torn a pec and will be out for at least 3 months...never wish injury on players but lol @ Rorters....

I agree. He's not a bad player but he doesn't really excel at anything. Does a good job for the Roosters but I wouldn't want him here as a starting 2nd rower.

I suspect he'll stay at the Roosters. I doubt anyone will be throwing too much money at him and I certainly hope we don't.

Yeah, I only found that out by doing some research into my fantasy footy side.

Heard a whisper last night that Adam Reynolds still wants out and the Tigers are in the mix.
Guy who told me is involved with the Bulldogs - when I said we've already got 2 young halves he said he'd also heard one of them will be gone.
Interesting if true.

Cant see any reason to start Jayden for Round 1… They could play anyone there and allow Nikorima to come into the game off the bench as he will for the majority of the year.

He isnt ready for an NRL starting spot at 5/8\. [This kid will be better than Kodi]

Falou would be my pick Col… Our Right Centre problem is fixed, plus he could potentially bring up to $5M in revenue as such a high profile player coming back to RL. Paying him $1M is a good signing!

Interesting.
If i had to guess - they'd keep Moses.

From what i've heard, if they lose either of them it will be Moses. Apparently the Panthers are interested in him with Marshall to act as his mentor.

They have Te Martin already there. Why would they want Moses. There's even talk that Moylan will play 5/8th.
