Hayne is not going to make it big in the NFL

Yep.
Nothing article / nothing going to happen.
Stupid stuff.

Galloway wanted to be a top dog boxer,
He's still playing rugby league… sort of.

He should go. There is not much too look forward to here for next couple of years. I follow the NFL closely and i think he could def make it.

I'm surprised the All Blacks havnt chased him. If he could get his motor right, he would be a sensational No 8

Anyone know what he records over 100 meters? I may be wrong (dont watch yankie sports) but I've heard Speed is the essential ingredient for NFL?

i think it is 40m the combines time players over. apart from finding yourself in open field due to a bad defensive read, or breaking through the defence on a run from your own 5yrd line, pace over 100m isn't nearly as important.

to be a linebacker (these are the 2 or 3 guys behind the massive ones on the defensive line if anyone doesnt know) you need explosive pace over a short distance to either get at the quarterback if he is scrambling or taking longer to pass, or stop a running back who has gotten through the defensive line.

he certainly seems to be blessed with the "fast twitch fibres" needed for this explosive speed and power.

im surprised at martys stats actually. dont know off the top of my head, but arent linebackers taller and even bigger? maybe he could be a hybrid blocking/receiving tight end? but they are tall as well and the receiving ones need great hands and are pretty quick in their own right.

what he does have in his favour is that he is a beast and rugby league players are far better tacklers than nfl ones (just my opinion) and he is bloody hard to tackle!

*having blabbed on about all this, i agree it is just another media beat up on a guy getting attention at the moment!

i love how the article talks about how many aussies have played or are playing in the nfl. He is a kiwi lol

You should know by now BB&G, that if a Kiwi sportsperson, actor musician etc is any good they are automatically deemed an Aussie

Funny and True

Won't happen, wasn't there a story nearly exact ally the same as this one not long ago but for Pat Richards, did they just delete pats name and put Marty's name in place of pat's ?

If you do go Marty, please give us a heads up so we can spend your money elsewhere, don't just pull out the rug Hayne style.

What money would there be to spend? We signed him as a reserve grader, he'd be on close to minimum wage.

Third party deal? Upgraded by the looks of things

Crapping on again about his NFL dream tonite on Seven news…I guess he was calling us the idiots

He said it on last weeks footy show as well in finchys fast 5

Off you go Marty you will be back looking for a club before you know it ..maybe try to actually be a successful league player first that would be a start .

Regardless if its NFL, or another club, i can't see him staying beyond next yr, especially if we don't improve. Players of his caliber don't stick around when rich clubs are chasing them.

Yeh u can tell his trying to keep professional but also tell the relationship is getting strained. He won't be with us for long.
