OFFICIAL Taylan "Tiny" May #301

I agree that as an all rounder, Critta is better.

But as a centre, and just a centre, I think they are basically on par - but with Taylans speed and acceleration off the mark, he'd be my preferree option...

Food for thought:
I reckon if the Bulldogs played Critta at 6 and Burton at 7 (instead of the failed Galvin experiment) they could have won the comp this year.

Critta looks soooooooo damn dangerous when he's drifting across field.. he draws in soooo many more defenders than your average 6 or 7 because of his size.. and he can throw a very strong and fast passes to his outside men once the overlap is created.. h

I can't remember which bulldogs game it was this year, but critta got more involved and basically took on the role as 1st/2nd receiver.. the dogs looked the best in attack they had all year... I was surprised Ciraldo didn't shift gears and give him more of that responsibility
Yep, he would probably also kill it at 7 (in that side), let Burto do all the kicking from 6 and he could probably also unlock Galvin at right centre.

At higher value. But a little higher than just a 50k bump. I’m sure he’s looking in the 700-750k range. Which, based off how he looked, I’m not sure you can’t argue he isn’t worth. The concern is not him wanting more money, but a shorter length. It indicates that he’s using the club as a springboard to get to a stronger club. He clearly doesn’t want to be tied down to us, but wants to make as much money as possible while he is here.
The guy was institutionalised just a few months ago, and for good reason. As such, I cannot fathom any club CEO or board allowing the signing of a contract anywhere his potential value at this point of his rehabilitation, and especially so without a plethora of specific clauses.

Like I wrote in the original post that you quoted from, this contract is his chance to wholly prove himself worthy of those top dollars, or using it as a "springboard" to use your term.

I think if there is announcement of only one or two years, I think that is an indication that we have catered to him. And I feel like it would be more than 50k.

The May brothers will sign. Numbers sound low to me personally but it’s all media talk. Many don’t see it but Benji is a major draw card with recruitment. It’s a major positive for him as a coach.
Terrell mentioned on his podcast that Benji will be featuring in the off season..

The other draw card with Benji is that he's pretty savy from a business perspective.. so he may actually be encouraging/mentoring the guys for the off field activities - like their podcasts and various lines of business

Benji has made appearances on Terrell's podcast doubt many other coaches would have, Benji can understand he's setting himself up for life after footy.
