Taylan:

Taylan, who impressed on a train and trial deal before moving into the Tigers Top 30, has gained a permanent spot in Benji Marshall's side, capitalising on the early potential he showed at the Penrith Panthers.

The star centre paid plenty of credit to coach Benji Marshall.

“I was grateful for the opportunity Benji and the Club gave to me last year, giving me a chance to come back to the NRL and play with my brother has been a dream for us," he said.

“We both love it here and I love all the boys, we've got a great culture. We're playing our footy and enjoying the process of getting better every day.

“Benji's been great for all the boys, he makes you a better player and gives you the confidence to go out there and express yourself. He's been a big inspiration for all of us, and we love playing for him.”

I wonder if there is an announcement coming that Tyrone is joining the club next season.

Do we need halves? We already have Luai for 2027, then Jock and Doueihi, and also Latu and Andrews as depth. Both Andrews and Latu are huge talents, no point blocking their pathway. Unless he can play in the forwards as a utility?

We need outside backs and maybe hooker depth more than anything I feel.

I was about to find this thread and say this guy is a beast...

Taylan was solid in attack and defense, he was the only back that was hitting hard and hurting the opposition. Had a couple of brain farts at the end when we were pretty much cooked and were looking for short cuts to get out of our end, when he pushed the pass for hynes to intercept and when he was pushed after a great tackle and retaliated...even the anti tigers commentators though the penalty should have gone the other way. Otherwise Taylan was very good.

Yeah he played relatively well. The penalty was a bit silly but he got pushed first and the ref was just giving cronulla every call possible at that point.

Probably his worst game for the club yesterday …although still there were a few others who were much worse ,,,not going to be overly critical over 1 game …hope he works hard to turn it around ..because they need him next week …

I thought Taylan had a very good game in a badly beaten team.
His yardage carries were very strong and his defence was rock solid.
I was surprised how quickly he is back to his aggressive, physical best after his serious shoulder injury.
