OFFICIAL Taylan "Tiny" May

Doueihi has come back from 3 knee reconstructions. He is not a man that lacks courage or heart. He makes our 17 every week and at this time is one of the first two centres chosen.
IMHO Douehi is carrying a groin issue as when he's tackled he gets to his feet very slowly and carefully .I understand his need to do that but fast play the balls are a basic ingredient of line breaks etc
I like Douehi in that he's a "heady " footballer and reasonable defender but Taylan was and hopefully still is a " beast " capable of many tackle busts and therefore line break assists

Agree mate, he missed a game a while back with a groin problem and it’s still seems annoying him. Maybe the goal kicking is not helping ?

Might have been a bit slow as a winger, but a very good goal kicker. Very good swimmer. Very good water polo player... and at the time all the girls just loved him. Including my ex. I had to stop taking her to games. There was only so much an adolescent Balmain boy could take.
I hear you mate, he was a popular boy !
My first wife had an extended fling with a Balmain player ( who shall remain nameless), after our divorce. It was hard to take even though we’d spilt. Memories, where would we be without them.

Hey Hal, despite all the ups, downs, and occasional disappointments those really were the days. Football at Leichardt, Lidcombe, Henson. Redfern, North Sydney, Jubilee, Cumberland. The Friday Daily Telegraph Gig Guide. Which bands were playing this week... Chisel, Divynals, Richard Clapton, INXS, Russell Morris, The Church, The Mentals, Sunny Boys, Choir Boys, The Tatts, Angels. Truly unreal. Saturday night at the Drive In. Holden vs Ford. No boutique or imported beers. Tooheys Draught, Tooths KB, and Reschs Pilsener. Sorry if I've gone off topic. Just got carried away with the nostalgia.

Mate, I’m loving it all. That great summary was back in dareisay “the good old days”
Shit I’m glad I lived through those years , it was a blast and even though I’m in my declining years I ll never forget one minute. Good on you and thanks so much.

Except Roberts had a top 30 contract - we're talking T&T for Taylan.
Change in management style, panic buys are out. Patience and holding your nerve during negotiations is the new way.

I reckon the souffs shite was to get us to crack, instead we held our nerve and got him at our price on our conditions. This kind of win at the negotiating table gets around, but so does the last couple of months with Gal and Isuk.
Also I reckon it helps keep that family in check. We drop our daks for Tiny, and then you get them running the team/culture and maybe Tyrone becomes a must sign demand.
Anyway happy the young bloke finished the rehab thing he was asked to do and has spoken a little more humble lately. Most people should get a second chance if they show remorse and/or take steps to better themselves.

No way. The Jet was much older, had lost his juice, on to his 5th club and busted. Walked away from a lucrative contract and signed on a smaller one with us. That was rank from day one.

A T&T on a still young May has much more promise.

I hope so. I'd just settle for him to be an adequate first grader at this point. Nothing flashy. Execute well (enough) and don't get bashed up on the counter like AD does... But I'd be very surprised if he makes anything close to impact some here expect from him

If he's inches better than what we have now in key moments, that could make all the difference to how we finish the season. Also maybe he's a boost to the playing group to have around.

Time will tell, but if he simply does the effort areas as opposed to brushing them off it would be a vast improvement. You know the simple things like fighting to get to your feet, provide cover, attack the ball in the air. He won't come back at the level he left, but if he does enough to earn a spot in 26 and has another preseason under his belt he could be a good buy, provided his head is in the right space.

As BF mentioned, he wasn't a panic buy. It looks like he was interviewed, it didn't go well for him and he has taken steps to adress the issues. I expect he has a long road ahead of him in the mental health area, but all journeys start with the first step. He has 13 weeks to prove that he is worth investing more time and effort in. This approach shows a level of maturity from both parties and I trust is works out well for everyone.

If it doesn't the sum willcontinue to rise and the club can focus the footablling resources elsewhere and Taylan can contiue his journey knowing he gave ti a crack. I'm not too sure that Tyrone becomes a must have - but I expect we will consider it and see how he fits. I doubt Richo will have his feet held to the fire.
