As a coach, his job is to play his best team. He isn't, he is allowing personal animosity to dictate who he selects. Was Farah the best choice for hooker today? Yes. Is Farah better than Lovett & Edwards? Yes. Farah can play 80 minutes, Halatau to the bench as hooker/2nd row. That has to be better for the team.
How on earth is playing Rankin as dummy half and Lovett in the centre a better option than Farah? Everybody who saw Lovett in the centres against Penrith knows that is a really stupid decision. Good coaches don't repeat stupid decisions. Had to be his plan all along as the 2 injuries we suffered were in the forwards.
Why is Lovett in ahead of Sironin? Played 40 minutes, butchered a try, missed a tackle to give a try away. Made 13 tackles, missed 3 in his 40 minutes.
Edwards 4 runs in 33 minutes, 23 tackles 2 misses. Solid, but how can anybody say he is better in the team than Farah?
Is Josh Aldo-Carr a better choice than Rankin? Yes, although I understand that one on account of JAC leaving.
Is MCK a better choice in the centre because of his defence? Yes.
As to Taylor improving each year, last year we were equal last, hard not to improve on that. Last year we played the most boring football I have seen from the Tigers, he stifled Farah, stifled Brooks and stifled Moses. It's all about defence, he says, we must get the defence right first. So what's happened, he hasn't got the defence right, now it's all about the right balance in attack! How on earth is it better to have less playmakers in your team? Imagine Bellamy telling Smith not to run from dummy-half. I also noticed Halatau made some telling dashes from dummy half today. Halatau is allowed to run from dummy half but Farah isn't allowed?
By dropping Farah, he knew he would create a shit-storm, he knew he would split the fans and split the team. Woods and Lawrence were both at Leichardt to support Farah I noticed.
We have improved this year, but he has had a dream run with injuries as opposed to the previous 2 years, and he has 3 of the most talented youngsters in the game with Tedesco, Brooks and Moses. How could you not win games with those 3 in the backline?
