Te Maire Martin

Edwards at 1 and TMM at 6 is something Tigers fans should be very excited about moving forward. Martin has more potential than Moses in both attack and defense. Edwards is someone who is a future rep player and can also play on the wing for a couple years if we get a big name at fullback.

You seem to have your finger on the pulse with a few statements you've made any insight as to whether this is genuinely a chance of happening?

I'd say it is likely. For TMM, it's going to come down to Penrith. I havn't heard anything personally about Edwards, but that's not to say the rumour isn't on the money. The biggest problem with these types of rumours is that they do tend to change day to day. So most of the time it's hard to definitively say if something is going to happen.

Edwards would be a very good singing. He's a real athlete with a good frame and plenty of pace. Looks an excellent prospect and sitting behind a strong Penrith squad of outside backs. Make it happen.

If it was me i would go all out for cronk on a 2 year deal and then go for cleary when he is off contract.

Let Cronk guide brooks and further his development for 2 seasons before bringing a matured cleary over in 2020.

I would totally agree with this. Have Brooks play 5/8 with Cronk playing Halfback. Now if were signing TMM, I don't think this can be an option.

TMM is incredibly exciting. Cleary knows him and so do the tigers board. However he is a bit of a turnstyle and Brooks defense is woeful.

As a club we did the exact wrong thing. Have 3 junior players start out in key positions then fire the only senior mentor in Robbie Farah. Naturally they got scared wondering who is going to mentor them up and help their game improve. I think that by signing TMM we have closed the door on Cronk, otherwise I am optimistic about this signing and glad to bring a loyal player back.

From what I've seen of Martin in NRL for the Panthers, he is no turnstyle. As with all halves, the opposition will have their big guns running at him but he seems to handle it well.

Every half and 5/8 misses tackles…...teams run their big mobile players at them and every one of them has the highest miss tackle ratio in the comp. Hae a look at Maloney, Thurston, Cronk...they all miss tackles...

The question is do they slow that player down enough for the 2nd and 3rd tackler to finish the tackle off.

Having watched TMM at Penrith to date........I don't think his defense is bad at all.

We're not going to wait around for Cronk to make up his mind.

All the good halves have a dedicated bodyguard to help with the defensive side of things. I'm sure the bus driver will fill some seats with a couple of them.

This would be terrific, Edwards would be a bonus.

1\. James Tedesco (hoping) Micheal Gordan (realistic)
2\. David Nofalumo
3\. Moses Suli
4\. Taine Milne
5\. Dylan Edwards
6\. Te Maire Martin
7\. Luke Brooks

Gordan and TMM are cheap options and can let us spend the big $ on forwards.

Had to google Edwards

Thats what happens when you stop watching every game

Hes played a handful of games, looks quite small…remember the days of the small back three?

He is six feet and 93kg which is quite a bit taller than Tedesco and probably similar weight. A good size for a fullback.

Not that small mate, he does need to fold out though. One heck of a talent.

Problem I have is if we bank on talent again in key positions no doubt we will get bitten in a few years again.

Edwards, TMM, Brooks and Liddle all in the young stakes hope each contract is segmented in different years for us if we pull these signings off.

Hey mate, I respectfully disagree.
I think we got burnt because we paid overs for talent, it stopped us from being able to put old heads around the table.
