Brisbane unfortunately ( I'm about to be sick)

Hahaha! Go on Happy, you know you want to :smiling_imp:

Born and bred in Strathfield, been a Magpie since I was in nappies. The team you followed was definitely the one where you were born and bred in my family. Lived at Summer Hill, Ashfield and Croydon Park in my 20s (still Magpies), then moved to the Hills district for about 7 years (Parra area) before moving up to the Central Coast about 15 years ago. Northern Eagles were trying hard to win over the coast when I first moved here  - thank God they failed lol.

Support the Entrance Tigers locally. They have the exact same Tiger emblem as WT. Had to settle for watching our Premiership win in 2005 in comfort at the Entrance Leagues when I bombed out on getting GF tickets :bawling

It seems you were born & spent a majority of your life in the inner west… So the closest team would be the Tigers? (Magpies dont exist)

Fair enough Watto. Maybe I misunderstood the OP, but I'm just stating how it was for me and in my days there, the inner west was Magpie territory, especially considering Wests Leagues was, and still is, in the heart of the area. Of course it bordered on Tiger territory - Balmain and Wests were known as 'married' clubs, guess they just made it official in 2000 lol. Now it's Wests Tigers territory, for sure. So it's all good for me, as far as supporting the team where I was born, despite where I live now. Not so for you Queenslanders though

The title says " team by birth "

Birth is where you were born last time I checked

Flip , I would prefer to support the Brisbane Lions than the Brisbane Broncos

Watto , you can't always get what you want

Born in Brisbane. Loathe the Broncos cult.
Raised in Pennant Hills on the fringe of Ku- Ring-Gai Chase NP.
Not sure how I became a Tigers fan but I was obsessed. Systematically raided the maxwell house jars of 2c coins on top of the fridge (amongst the jars of funnel webs unlucky enough to come across my mum and a can of fly spray - hidden deep within a ball of toxic fairy floss) to buy footy cards. Vivid memory of walking back from the shops to the primary school one morning, head down, sorting through about 400 cards, in the days of Corrowa, Oliphant and Miranda, really hoping to get Muggleton, as even though he was with Parra at the time, he was a hard find. Not looking, I ran into my teacher coming the other way and dropped all my cards, mortified, and convinced I was somehow busted for the 2c raids.

Born in Bankstown lived at Padstow until 2 or 3 (I still shudder that I could have been a Dogs fan, though I don't think my Mother who is a Balmain fan who hates the dogs would have allowed that).

Luckily moved up the coast and lived near Lake Macquarie from the age of 2 or 3 until 5 so I did become a Knights fan (well as much as one can be at that age) as I was up there when they came into the comp which meant a lot of community involvement and targeting of kids to become supporters.

Finally moved and have lived in the Campbelltown area since I was 5 and quickly became a Magpies fan (due to living in the area and being able to see them play and meet players including a very young Jason Taylor who used to sign autographs outside David Wilsons Chemist).

Born in Frankfurt, so as the crow flies that would probably be NQLD.

althought I've lived in North Ryde for 20+ years..

Always lived in west pennant hills. Closest junior club was Pennant hills/cherrybrook stags, making me a norths junior.
Parramatta's the next closest, so I guess I'd be an eels fan. Born at westmead hospital too so it makes sense!

born at ryde hospital.
grew up in north ryde .( was a lot of fun there in the 70's until I left there in 1994)
So it would be Balmain for me.,
school at spiritus sanctus, north ryde,(1970 -74)
then to holy cross college, ryde.(1975 - 80)
**but I grew up following the team my dad did, wests- magpies..**.

Born on the border of Beverly Hills and Roselands in Sydney to fanatical St George Dragons fans ( Im talking Parents, uncles and hundreds of cousins).

On the only non Dragon / Bulldog in a very large family.

I call myself an Evangelical Tiger.

I'm curious now, Ryde obviously has a connection to Balmain through BRET but surely the closest team to Ryde would have been Norths?

Was Ryde a Norths feeder area in the before times?

No. As far as I'm aware Ryde Eastwood has always been tigers. My uncle was a Balmain junior from RE. North Ryde hawks are tigers juniors as well

There was no team representative of my area when I was born. The Titans kind of use the NRRRL as a feeder league now so I suppose they are Grafton's local NRL side. Before that it was just pick a team for whatever reason. No one side had more fans in Grafton. Maybe the Broncos but I think that was more to do with them being really good at the time than anything geographic.

Now I live in Carina, Brisbane. Spent some time in Melbourne too. Mostly Northern NSW, Grafton, Coffs and surrounds. So the Titans I suppose.
