So, if you were a 19 year old, who had just had a stellar year at fullback, who was only given a one year extension after the Grand Final in which you nearly single handedly won for your team on one leg for a lot of it, and was looking to break into the top squad either this year or next, and then you read in the paper that the Recruitment Department went out and signed a 30 year old to play your position for the next 3 years and pay him $400,000 a year for the privilege, that you would actually WANT to re-sign with the club?
Considering the way they treated you and how long it took for them to actually sign you when you were carving up opposition and scoring tries at will? To only action a contract AFTER your Grand Final performance?
Mate, the Tigers would have to offer me around $80,000 for the next 3 years with performance bonuses built in to keep me if they treated me that poorly.
The Wests Tigers took up the option on Mullaney's contract before the Grand final…..
Sheens Rates him highly ...has done since he's been with the Club....so much so it cost us Gallant......Sheens doesn't loose to many Juniors....http://www.weststigers.com.au/default.aspx?s=article-display&id=20695&sheens-likes-what-he-sees-in-mullaney" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
**The Sharks may have been circling but they where never a chance....**
**I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a run in the Foundation Cup after playing half a game in the 20's....**
