Team for next week vs newcastle

If Moltzen is our permanent full back next year then I am going to make a killing on the TAB when I take our opposition each week.

Unless Moltzen is prepared to put his body on the line, bring back the ball at pace (not give it off to our wingers) and tackle then he should stay away from full back.

Mitch Brown should be full back next year and in the meantime learn off Wade McKinnon how to chime in in attack. If I was Sheens Brown and McKinnon would be paired together for the rest of the year to improved Brown's transition into full back for next year.

I still hope Moltzen leaves. I see him as surplus to our needs and overpaid if $300,000.00 which has been reported is true.

With the development of Fifita, Woods, Dwyer and now Groat and Begovich I think for the future of the club we will not miss Gibbs and Fulton. Payten needs to retire and take up a coaching role.

Pack next year (mix of youth and experience. Remember Woods, Dwyer and Fifita and all had a year of
NRL under their belts)

Galloway (should be playing SOO)
Farah (played for NSW and AUS)
Woods (Future rep player)
Blair (NZ vice captain and premiership winner)
Ellis (English international and best second rower in the world)
Heightington (inspirational player)

Dwyer
Fiifita
BMM
Groat/Begovich

Hopefully this is the team:

1\. Moltzen
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ryan
4\. Ayshford
5\. Brown
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Dwyer
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighington

14\. Woods
15\. Fifita
16\. Murdoch-Masila
17\. Fulton

Couple of points:

- If McKinnon is fit, he starts at fullback, Moltzen to centre, Ryan to bench and Fulton drops off. Sorry, but Fulton is just too small.
- Brown should never be allowed in the centres again.
- Utai should never play first grade again if Tiquiri, Ryan and Brown are available.
- Schirnack should be playing Jim beam Cup. Completely ineffective. I doubt Leo would even accept him in the Magpies team.

Moltzen ahead of brown at fullback and utai should never play first grade, lol are you serious.

1\. Mullaney (time to bit the bullet)
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Moltzen (only due to lack of options)
5\. Brown
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Dwyer
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighington

14\. Fulton
15\. Woods
16\. BMM
17\. Fifita

Not a bad side, however take out:-

Moltzen for Ryan (who is in fact a centre not a winger)

Lui for Miller

Brown for Koroibete

Bmm (something seems to be wrong with him at the momement, maybe overweight?) for Groat.

Would be happy with most of your changes, though I would give Lui another week before I consider dropping him. I also don't think Brown has done anything wrong to be dropped, OK his defense was not great on the weekend but I'd be dropping Ayshford before him.

BMM is a very big unit and is still getting match fitness, I think he'll be fine. He had a few good runs against the Dragons.

BMM remember has only played 5(?) NRL games and is coming off a nine game lay off Give him time 2 weeks should see him match fit

Agreed, I would stick with him. He is a unit and will only improve. I think he has the potential to be more explosive than Fifita.

Not sure about Ryan in the centers. The Gasnier try he rushed well out of the line and caught air, but in attack he will be fine. From what I heard McKinnon was only a twinge, so he will be right this week, so Ellis in, with Shirnack out, Tuqiri in with Utai out, and Galloway in for Groat

we more than competed with the best team in the comp, at their home ground.

yeah, lets make WHOLESALE changes.

Well we won't have a choice Tigerdale unless you want Tuqiri ,Keefy and Ellis to play NSW Cup . Then you have Utai with a broken arm as well . And if MacKinnon passes fitness test he should play as well

definitely bring those guys in. they are part of the team.

but mullaney, koribete, miller, finau, meaney, latu, and moors were all mentioned ON THE FIRST PAGE ALONE.

Hope mackinnons hammy was only a twinge as it will be great if we are playing next monday night & he goes down with his hammy after 10 minutes, remember this is a must win game.

Team I think we'll see:
1\. Moltzen
2\. Lote
3\. Brown
4\. Ayshford
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Ellis
12\. Dwyer
13\. Heighington
14\. Fifita
15\. Woods
16\. Fulton
17\. BMM

Team I'd like to see:

1\. Mullaney
2\. Lote
3\. Moltzen
4\. Ayshford
5\. Brown
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Ellis
12\. Dwyer
13\. Heighington
14\. Fifita

17\. Schirnack

This is the team I believe Sheens will pick.

1\. McKinnon
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Moltzen
4\. Ayshford
5\. Brown
6\. Marshall
7\. Lui
8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Dwyer
12\. Ellis
13\. Heighington

14\. Woods
15\. Fifita
16\. Ryan (loves his back on the bench)
17\. Fulton

18\. BMM

The team i would pick, (1) mckinnon (2) tuqiri (3) ayshford (4) moltzen (5) brown (6) marshall (7) miller (8) gibbs (9) farah (10) galloway (11) ellis (12) rhino (13) fulton (14)dwyer (15)woods (16)fifita (17) bmm (18) lui. Fulton to lock gives the back row a bit more balance & give miller a go @ half.

Every comment has proposed the same forward pack , good sign. It looks very good with Ellis and Galloway in it.

I think this pack has the ability to win win the match for us regardless of who the back 5 are. Especially if Farah, Galloway and heighno feel they are playing for origin spots. When is the origin team being named ? Sunday night or Monday night? despite my faith in the professionalism of the players I think it will be a key factor especially for Galloway .

It's picked on Sunday and Farah and Co are no chance…. Team already picked.

Sheens will stick with Lui this year unless injured then Miller might get another shot.

At least with Galloway and Ellis back the pack looks very strong.

4\. Moltzen
5\. Ryan
6\. Marshall

That will be the team with maybe BMM and Woods swapping around. I would like to see Ryan and Moltzen swapped around but that will not happen. As for Miller no chance, barring injuries his next chance will be 2012

I rekon, on their right sides and respective numbers (lote always been #5, ayshford been #3 etc):

1\. Moltzen
2\. Ryan
3\. Ayshford
4\. Brown
5\. LT smash!
6\. Benji
7\. Lui
8\. Fifita
9\. Farah
10\. Big Keith
11\. Dwyer
12\. Ellis
13\. Rhino

14\. Ryan
15\. Woods
16\. BMM
17\. Groat

18\. Shirnack
