Team of 15 years

He was going to be a superstar. If not for the injury, he'd be looked at as important to this side as Farah and Woods.

Cant believe some comments about Tuiaki. At the time of his injury he was genuinely challenging Brett Morris as the number one winger in the game. He was a gun and the best outside back we have had. In fact no outside back even comes close to him…Fitzy, Richards, Whats, Elford, Lawrence, Hopoate, Hill (when at centre, not lock where he killed it for us) and Caine had nothing on TNT. Shame we didnt even see the best of him

On the rest of the team i find it hard to argue with any of those selections. Over the years i never rated Heighno so he is the only one i could question., but otherwise its very well selected.

Hino was always a bit of a statistical hero, he made a lot of runs but rarely did they dent the line. Occasionally he would make a clean break which would inflate his meters per run. He was tenacious and played hard, but lacked the impact. Once we got Ellis to the club it really exposed the weakness in Hino's game.

I would've have had Gibbs over heighno. Guys like oneil, laffranchi etc, I can't have much say on them coz I didn't see them play much in the WT jersey.

Btw am I right in saying that oneil was the club captain in 05 but didn't play in the grand final so prince was named captain?

On the back page of the Herald on GF day, there was a headline, (paraphrasing) ''the drama that threatens to shatter Tigers GF dream''. The drama was that there was a rift in the camp over the Captaincy being taken off O'Neill who had missed a few games. Such a grubby act. The timing of the article that is, not the Captaincy.
