Team v dogs

I can usually see a path to victory against most teams we play, however the style of the bulldogs with their physicality, second phase play and Burton's kicking game, will unfortunately lead to a significant defeat for us. I had this marked down from round one as a 100% guaranteed loss no matter how well the team was travelling. We just don't have the skill to counterbalance their physicality. Perhaps in 2026. So there will be a NRL blackout in my household this weekend.
That’s ok, I can live with that if we play Skelton at 7.

1.Jahream Bula
2.Sunia Turuva
3.Starford Toa
4.Taylan May
5. Jerrel Skelton
6. Jerome Luai
7. Latu Fainu
8. Terrell May
9.Api Korisau
10. Royce Hunt
11. Sione Fainu
12. Fonua Pole
13 .Adam Douehi
Bench : Samuela Fainu , Alex Twal ,Alex Seyfarth , TBA( Makasini ? )

Putting Sam Fainu on the bench probably just wishful thinking
Important to reunite Turuva and Toa on the same side as its worked well before
I've left out guys like Sukkar and Bird and Hope who are not effective at NRL level .
I want to make our run on side the strongest pack ! What's the point of having a weaker pack for the first 25 mins
Start Strong !
We now have a very good backline 1-7 with Douehi and Bula able to chime in left and right .So let's not hobble them with a weak pack !
Last week we couldn't even make halfway in a full set
Imo May ,Hunt ,Sione and Pole along with Api are the ones who can bust tackles .
I'm afraid Benji picks teams partly on who are pleasing him with attitude
Ie " i only want those who want to be here "
That's his criteria mine is what 1-17 are most likely to win !

1. Bula
2. Turuva
3. Makasini (give him a taste)

9. Api
10. Sione Fainu
11. Samuela Fainu
12. Seyfarth
13. Twal

14. Douhei (can cover for Makasini if it doesn't work out)
15. Pole
16. Sukkar
17. Kit/Hunt

API needs to play 80 this week.

That would be the worst defensive pack we have ever fielded. Pole would be destroyed on an edge

I think Douehi at 13 is actually overcomplicating things for our halves, he is a ball hog and needs to stay in the background and provide a link. I would shift him back to the centres in place of Toa, who is hopeless.
I don't get this recent hate for T'oa. Please, watch the games. I've watched last weeks game twice...he missed on a 3 on 2 that was always going to beat us, otherwise his defence was sound and he made the only decent break for us in the game. I don't know what's expected of him when the whole team is going backwards.

I dont care what team we put on the park as long as
they all go after that galvin and snap him in half.
Just run at him all night.
He'll have minders either side of him and he'll just be 3rd man in in D like last nite.
Dogs are Penrith MKII,...this will be just like saturday night.
Kudos to any WTs fans heading out...i think being surrounded by those feral rabid dogs supporters would test mother theresas patience

1. Jahream Bula
2. Sunia Turuva
3. Taylan May
4. K Mapapalangi
5. Izaac Tuitupou
6. Jarome Luai
7. Latu Fainu
8. Terrell May
9. Apisai Koroisau [C]
10. Fonua Pole
11. Samuela Fainu
12. Adam Doueihi
13. Sione Fainu

14. Heath Mason
15. Kit Laulilii
16. Peter Taateo
17. Royce Hunt

Now that’s a lot of aggression coming off the bench which we definitely need and
a utility player who can cover the whole backline & hooker.
Mason fills in but covers nothing!

Have feeling we may see 2 debutants on Sunday ... Big Mak & K Mapz!
Skelton and Toa need a break.....im not keen on blooding Makasini this early, however it didnt hurt Sualii and they are similar body types...18 year olds that have the physical attributes of grown men.

He's line up on the wing against Rinakama or Tuala so not a bad induction if he does debut.

That would cause a major reshuffle when they came on and why blood them against one of the top teams when were likely to get flogged?
Just a feeling not an opinion. Benji doesn't care about opposition and always says the Sheenius line 'if you're good enough, you're old enough'.

Everyone's thinking about the potential headlines on Monday "Galvin's decision vindicated" etc etc but imagine the reverse PR if Makasini debuts, he scores & we win it'll be "The Tigers future!"

The early NSW Cup list has Royce Hunt & Krystian Mapapalangi in it. Doesn't look like there could be any significant inclusions in NRL team unless it's Big Mak or injury returns (Bula, Sam Fainu).
