Yeh, he showed how good he can be. I mentioned in another post that I'd put Maks in front of him at centre to see if maybe that would get him firing.

Understand most likely is wing for a bit, but I think he's ready to go straight to centre. Left or right...

Probably just that I'm old (last of the generation with an inside and outside centre!) but I don't understand why the side they play on is so important at nrl level. Shouldn't they all be able to catch and pass both sides? 🤔

Openly admitting I don't know. I started at wing and preferred the right, sure, but it didn't bother me if I was on the left tbh.

It doesn't matter to most, it has more to do with who's inside them and which side is favoured in attack. They usually do have a preferred side due to their step, carry etc but most can adapt. If you ask a right side cup player to play left in NRL, he'll jump at the chance.

Yep & poor Jock Madden must have left the club already. No profile on there. And while I’m at it, were the junior reps cancelled on the weekend because there are no reports/results on the club website.

Yes I jest but piss poor from the club. The comms team have had adequate time to prepare a weekly comms schedule & have any bug fixes applied by the NRL to the website.

40th Wedding Anniversary over the weekend and was away up the Mountains so missed the game live. Got back this afternoon and just finished watching - having read through the comments I don't have anything new to add.

However, it was great to see Madden to perform as expected - organising, straightening the attack and kicking with smarts. I doubt that he will become a great half but he has all the skill we need to execute an eyes up game plan. I trust we get an opportunity to see AD at 7 for 20mins and then spend 20 mins at 13 with Madden in the 7 against the same competition next week.

That would be well worth trialling.
