Teams are cheating: NRL club bosses’ concerning revelation

You know what shits me...if the players are on a contract with a club at a certain dollar value and there are others on another dollar value and its within the cap then its a fair system...
Where the system fails is that these contracted players get bags under the table ,houses, boats and cars etc...that really have nothing to do with the NRL cap..they are third party deals that should be taxed as we do when we have 2nd or 3rd jobs...absolute garbage...if you want top dollar within the cap ,then play to it and earn it as everybody else has to...sneaky,dirty under the table deals only benefit the players that certain sponsors drool over....that is not a fair system...until this is sorted then we may become a top sporting body on a level playing field...

Take it from me ...3rd party agreements are divisive and detract from the quality of player we need...if your a top worker in a team of workers say packing at a factory, you get the hour wage your entitled to for your input...it doesnt include taking home boxes of canned products that others cant obtain.....simple...
answer 2 your 1st question,a lot,lol

the original idea for pta,s were to stop rugby union pilfering our talent, rich clubs sugar coating the rort?union is on its knees so lets scrap it/cap it

This issue comes up on most NRL forums three times a year. The hard truth is, it is impossible to police the salary cap. There are just to many ways of giving players incentives outside the cap. It may be a job for a family member, it may be material for a parents renovation or the round of golf one.

Said it many times, the player agents basically work out who goes where and the salary cap plays only a small role.

If we are going to use the current salary cap system, firstly the NRL have to get serious and transparent with the policing of the cap and also any breaches, clubs, players and agents must face massive penalties. You can’t have players saying they did not know where the speed boat came from.

Anyway…guess what, in three months we will be talking about the same thing
