Some people on this forum complain when we have players picked that they may get injured and will be out at the start of next season.

Then we have others that complain when we do not get players picked. Go figure.

He'd be disappointed and rightfully so.

Like I said, I'd be happy for him if he were picked, but let's face it we'd be all devastated if he popped his ACL and was rubbed out for another 12 months.

I agree with Col, Teddy's time will come when fully fit.

He showed Mal what he can do in the PMs 11 and from reports he got a heavy head knock in that game, too. He can sit back for a month, get into preseason training come November and be 100% for us next year.

I was disappointed at first that Teddy missed out then i thought maybe some rest would do him some good. His Jaw, his head knocks might not be that bad.

but if i was him i would have wanted to go and the last thing i would think about is injury. when i was that age i was bullet proof as we all are.

pretty sure he needed some nose surgery (broken bone behind/in his nose from Thurston) and was going to miss out regardless

add in 2 concussions and a jaw. couldn't be happier

i suspect he'd already discussed it with Sheens and therefore not been picked

Teddy must have known he wasn't in contention given he's been partying in Vegas with Broses and co for the last week.
I can kinda understand Moylan getting the gig over him due to versatility and his team going further into the finals, but tbh Teddy should be starting at #1 ahead of him and Boyd anyway….
Sometimes it's harder to get dropped than to get into the team.

Dugan and Ferguson are absolutely laughable selections.

I'm happy that Tedesco didn't get picked. I would be happy for him but I worry enough every club game that he'll go down with an ACL injury again.

I'm not disappointed either, gives the Young Fella a chance to recover and build up for a big 2017.

Yeah but how much an improved played did Tedesco come back after his spell with Italy at the last world cup?

Sometimes a rep tour can really spur on the performance of a player, especially an emerging rep player.

For mine I think it's a joke. Moylan got picked for 2 Origins only because Tedesco was injured, failed both times, then was hooked for Game 3 in favour of Tedesco.

Tedesco goes on to win Dally M player of year.

It's bollocks that Moylan can cover multiple positions, because he doesn't even play halves for his own club. He's been put at 5/8th before and failed because they mark up strong on him. Moylan is not a powerful player, he is a silky one, but that doesn't get you far at rep level when everyone in the opposition makes their tackles and hits hard.

And Mal is indeed smoking some serious weed if Boyd is the "premier" fullback of the comp. Err Tedesco just won the award for premier fullback you short-sighted one-eyed peanut. Actually, on account of Billy Slater, Boyd has only played 3 Origin games at FB ever - just 2 more than Tedesco.

But, whatever, it's always been a popularity contest that can run contrary to Origin selection and actual form. It used to be that way when Steve Walters continually got the nod ahead of Benny Elias, and when they found so many reasons not to drop Langer for the clearly superior Ricky Stuart.
