Teddy plans to end career at WT

Tedesco has already ended his career at the tigers. Benji comparison is worthless. Benji won us a premiership and Tedesco jumped for cash while basically saying we weren't good enough. Don't let the door hit you on the way through champ

Spin doctors at work trying to repair his brand name. Okay he is not gutter scum like Moses and has really put in since Cleary took over, but Just walk out the door say goodbye and let the curtains fall. If you loved the club you would not go anywhere especially the Chooks
 
Having only read the quote in an article and not seen it live, I was under the impression he was open to returning, not that he wants to. Spoke about how the club looked after him, so he obviously still has some affection for the place.
I'm not going to begrudge a professional athlete moving to another team. Every fan espouses loyalty; it's not dead but it's hardly a priority for everyone. People can't forget that Thurston's status in the rugby league pantheon was always under question until he won a premiership. Completely irrespective of his state and international resume, there was always that same line trotted out against him til they finally got one.
Teddy has openly discussed his desire to be the best fullback in the game, and I can understand he'd get the best chance at that recognition in a performing, successful team.
We're on our way, and yes, it sucks that he's leaving, but success is a perfectly reasonable motivator, as romantic as loyalty may seem.
 
This is very much a friend of a friend thing however apparently Teddy has been telling his mates that he plans to (exact words) 'do a Lebron' i.e go to a team where you're guaranteed a comp, then come back to your hometown club and win one with them.

I don't know if I'm meant to feel flattered or absolutely pissed off at him.

Hmmm that's interesting. That could well and truly backfire, there is no guarantee the Roosters will win a comp in the next 4 years. Despite their team being stacked with top players, they often fall down at the last hurdle. Apart from possibly the Storm, I don't think any team is guaranteed a premiership.
 
I hope the roosters have a couple of years like last year while he is there. They have been pretty consistent in recent years, but how many times have they been premiers?
 
He's full of it. Even if he honestly believes it now, once he gets into the Roosters environment, he'll forget we exist. Sort of like when a guy meets a girl and forgets all about his mates. And if wins one or two premierships, forget it. Remember Addo-Carr said he was going to come back to when his contract expired with the Storm. Anyone still believe that?

Slightly different circumstances with JAC, by all reports he wanted to stay and even after he signed with the storm tried to get out of the contract. Lifelong tigers fan, if the opportunity arises I reckon he'll come back one day.

Agree re Teddy with the roosters though.
 
Yeah Tigers bring you though their system spent thousands developing you then go to the Roosters at your prime and come back here when you are burned out and over the hill Nick off we don't want you back traitor.

He is the best fullback in the game and he still could have done that here.
