Tigers and in particular Grant Mayer are seemingly promoting the hell out of the Tigers v Broncos game, '15th anniversary game', trying to draw on the Campbelltown crowd, lots of ticket promotions, etc.
I wouldn't be surprised to see us announce Tedesco has re-signed in the lead up.

If you were trying to time the announcement for PR reasons, you'd do it when he was actually playing.

"And we've just re-signed (drum roll)… that guy on crutches over there"

(Soft patter of applause)

Lol. Exactly. The only problem is, our next Campbelltown game is not until 28th June against Canberra. Will the Tigers management hold out that long? I think some supporters will storm Mayer's office before that.

Lara Pitt on Sterlo (Fox Sports) reported that the Canberra Raiders are making a play for James Tedesco and Josh Mansour. The pair down in Canberra today to meet with officials from the club for a "meet and greet".

Teddy visited canberra today along with josh mansour to check facilities. We need to draw a line in sand and give him a deadline. We could lose other players who may be sick of the tigers puzzle being put together. These guys have families to and need a contract as well.

If he wants to go there it's got to be purely for the money. Look at the club and the team, it's an absolute shambles.

- The biggest hack of a coach the NRL has seen in the last ten years
- An ageing, useless five-eighth that spends more time on the sideline than he does on the field
- A forward pack that was always seen as 'big' but couldn't break through a wet paper bag
- Who are their 7 and 9? I dunno. Never even heard of 'em.
- It's damn cold.

Obviously we are not offering what Tedesco wants , why would you bother going to Canberra for a bloody meet and greet when really he wants to stay (so he says).
I know we will regret it if we loose him but for crying out loud are we going to be held to ranson , let's move on if he is being that greedy , we have supported him throughout all his injuries and he can't give it in return we must be offering massive unders to drag this long .
I'm really getting over it to tell the truth if he goes so be it

This is weird, Canberra don't usually BUY top players, they usually LOSE their top players to other clubs. Something strange is going on down there - perhaps Phony Tony has topped up the Raiders coffers in his Budget

😱pen_mouth: The last time I was in Townsville something very bad happened to the Tigers

On the 28th of June I will be in Townsville again and we are playing the side he is negotiating with

By the way I have heard nothing for about 2.5 weeks so I'm not holding anything back

Agree with foreveratiger. it has to be all about $$. Which i dont think is right this stage of his career with Tigers starting his career plus his injuries ect…..

I'm starting to get over this now. Tedesco is an amazing talent and I would be shattered to lose him. However we won both games that he missed when we had Farah. If he wants to commit career suicide by going to Canberra for a few extra dollars then that's his funeral.

That's it , if Milford cant spark that side fat chance Tedesco will with that bunch and Milford stays on the field unlike Teddy (injury prone) .
Before last week the Raiders were pumped by 50 + 2 weeks running , Teddy won't get many representative jerseys playing for them I give you the tip

What are you talking about, the Raiders are a nursery for promising young talent. Canberra's a cold town, but it's a good place for a bloke to develop their career without too many distractions. Just look what they were able to do for Blake Ferguson, Todd Carney and Sandor Earl.

Let's not forget Brooks helped Teddy look good..

You're not serious are you?

It's clear as day that he has as much ability as any of the other fullbacks in the comp

What I am trying to say is he wouldn't be going as well as he was without Brooks. He assisted most of Teddys tries and Teddy would be half the player he currently is if he went canberra playing with Campeese and Wighton.

Tedesco has indicated many times that he would like to stay. Either someone at Wests Tigers doesn't want him or Ayoub and Mayer are just playing a silly game at his expense.

The question is how much is loyalty worth 100k 200k a year.

Ayoub and Mayer need to sort this out tomorrow. We offloaded players so I can't see what the problem is unless as I said someone at Wests Tigers simple doesn't want him to stay.

i see your point but it would be wise to phrase your comments about players a bit better

There's no doubting Tedesco's class, but I don't think he'll look as good playing off mediocre halves and a weak forward pack. Maybe not though, Tedesco might have that Jaryd Hayne type ability to always look good in a losing team.

Still we've shown we can grind out wins without Tedesco, so if he wants to become a millionaire as an overpaid poster boy in a bottom of the table club, then best of luck to him.

Yep I posted much the same a week or so back. I reckon between Rowe but more likely Moses we have a pretty reasonable fullback in the making if Teddy takes off.
