yeah polar opposite alright, although a few of them were questioning his decision on signing with them in the first place, they couldn't believe he would come to their club

I do feel sorry for their supporters, the club is a mess.

Well, well, well. Only three apologies at this stage but the rest of the lynch mob are probably too busy hanging their heads in shame; of course that doesn't include those who are still trying to justify their disgraceful behaviour towards this young man.

Pffft
Teddy changed his tune.
The fans can too.
The fans didn't prepare to leave.
Teddy did

This whole saga has sure made a right bourke out of you hasnt it.
How does it feel to be so bitter and twisted towards someone and then have to backflip ?
Should be ashamed of yourself.

Nice try

Why should I be ashamed?

A lot of people calling for apologies from those who criticised Tedesco for taking the money. As mentioned previously, it was justified when he took the money. I won't apologise, but I'll take back the criticism, because he's demonstrated he does want to be with the mighty Tigers.

I'll also note that the criticism was never, ever particularly personal. The comments we make on footballers are always made on the tiny snapshots we see of them. In the same way scathing indictments of character are unwarranted, unadulterated hero worship is completely inappropriate. It's just the way sport goes. It's melodrama, don't take it so seriously.

That said, I think there are people that owe Grant Mayer an apology. There were a number of criticisms levelled at him for how he played out negotiations. In particular, for offering Tedesco well below market value. Well if that's the case, it looks like we secured Tedesco for well below market value. Sounds lke a tidy piece of business to me.

Most of them are laying the blame on their joke of a club. Now they know what we went through with Sheenius! Their demise started as soon as Ricky signed. The sooner he is out, the sooner they can start to rebuild properly.

Apart from the bloke who is hoping Tedesco does his knee again and again (probably Stuart himself ) they are taking it far better than some members of our Forum would of in my opinion

Alright last week when it came out when he was signing with Raiders I was NOT happy it's a team I have hated since 1989 for reasons people would know!

I was one of those that said go now take the money if it's all about that.

But now I take back what I said because he in fact is staying… I'd like to know what changed his mind in such a short space of time you really have to wonder, how come the team could not talk him into staying months ago yet after a few days of signing with the raiders he changes?

Mayer can come out of this with his head held high… **as can Robbie and Woods**.

What did they do?

They encouraged Tedesco to think more deeply into what he was entering into with the Canberra contract which incorporated a cooling off period after signature. I am sure that most people would we be involved in similar situations sometime in their lives. Spur of the moment decisions are not always necessarily the correct decisions. That's why governments have enacted cooling off periods in areas such as property purchase similar to what NRL have enacted in the Canberra contract.

I was as angry as anyone with his decision to leave, and likewise as happy as anyone now that he is staying. The future looks brighter. I am excited about our future.

x 2 … onya teddy !

You people are unbelievable. ''Lets all love him again, and go back to claiming he's the next Billy Slater''. And i notice the $ is gone from his name, how fickle. And to the one who said the comments on here must have swayed him, thanks for the laugh. Cos your opinion on the internet carries more sway then 2 and a half million dollar contract.

Wow, how many Melbourne Cup's have you rode on that high horse of yours? Can't really recall you being stoked and supportive of Tedesco when it was announced he was leaving in the first place. People had a right to be angry with Tedesco agreeing to leave WT, and the comments he made afterward. Those same people also have a right to now be happy that he is staying. Some people will never forget that he was prepared to turn his back on the Tigers, he will have to live with that for all of his career.

Still waiting knuckles.
Is this another of your petty digs where you throw a limp wristed bichslap and then run away?

This is now pointless
Some people were angry he was leaving - entitled
Some people "supported" his move - entitled
Now people are happy to "reclaim" the golden son returned - entitled
Some people "angry" about how some people "treated" the kid - entitled

What's done is done - Let's all move on and look forward to many great years for the WT's

I've just had a quick look at the Canberra forum. To be honest, as many have already said here, their supporters are more upset with Furner and Sticky than Tedesco. In fact, the majority understand his decision. Some indeed, couldn't understand why he signed with them in the first place! Some on our forum think our club is a basket case - heck, you should read Greenmachine Forum! If the Wests Tigers is a basket case, then the Raiders have the veritable 'one foot in the grave'.
I know Tedesco will be sleeping a lot easier now with this decision finally made. Looking forward to seeing how the Tigers develop as a team over the next year or two. Definitely have the potential to be premiership 'heavyweights'.

Rather be in our possy on & off field compared to saints an canberra

QFT. WT won't be going anywhere, even with the Balmain financial woes.

Hopefully these kids will build a dynasty and drag a few more fans on board.
