Teddy will extend his deal here soon. Dogs are chasing Hiku from Manly.

Yeah I'm not worried about what other clubs are trying to do. Very confident we'll keep him.

Um yeah I don't see it happening. They're spending close to $2 million on their front row and their CEO is out on TV this morning saying the lack of a FB was the reason they can afford them. On the other side Tedesco has shown no indication about wanting to go.

I put this down to a combination of over excited Dogs fans and the perception that anyone on the Dogs radar can't wait to sign a contract to join them…

I look forward to next week when Sue is off to the Roosters or Nofa is joining the Storm...

The dogs could not fit teddy under their already exploding cap,Fifita $850k and today revealed Graham $700k,throw in Williams,Morris,Kasiano,Tolman,Eastwood,Inu,Hodgekinson who are all on good money, and I probably have missed a few as well.

T-Rex & Eastwood are on the way out next season.

They are both under contract, the Dogs will need to find a club to take over the ridiculious money they are both on,this will not happen, the dogs will have to pay some other team at least half of their current deals to get any club to look at them.

Well they look like offloading them, if not Eastwood most definately T-Rex:

**Dogs set to offload big boys**
The Bulldogs are prepared to offload big boppers Tony Williams and Sam Kasiano next year to fit new signings Andrew Fifita and Michael Lichaa under the salary cap. The club spent plenty attracting the two stars - and have some culling to do as a result. Williams still has two years to go of a massive contract but has been a major disappointment and the Bulldogs are attempting to cut their losses. **They have even told rival clubs they will pay a substantial percent of Williams' contract to move him on.** Kasiano is off contract next year and while, on his day, he is one of the most damaging forwards in the game, his career has been plagued by injury. Hooker and captain Michael Ennis is also off contract and currently negotiating his future.

Just read that thread. Surprised so many of them called him "niff nuff" and a "nothing signing." I think Tedesco is poised to become a superstar.

I think a lot of fans from other clubs vastly underrate how much potential Tedesco has. I think within 3 years he will be the regular fullback for NSW.

so i guess we haven't learnt our lesson about talking up 'superstars of the future' he may get there, or he may plateau and never be more than a good FG player. But, it's enough to say he's a very good player and leave it at that imo.

I stand by it  If he remains injury free and keeps developing he is going to go a very long way.

He must be priority number 1 to get to sign a new contract.

Pretty sure he'll stay. He seems a decent kid, he's a Tiger junior, we showed a lot of faith in promoting him to FB two years ago when he was still eligible to play Toyota Cup and even more faith in slotting him right back in after we'd helped him with his knee reco. Today's result was built on the back of a bunch of very young players outplaying significantly older, more decorated ones so the argument he has no one around him of his talent is a null one IMO.

Tigers have stuck by Tedesco through some tough times. Pray he feels a commitment to the club. He will be chased by clubs

Let's hope that tigers don't stuff around and offer him a decent contract and not give the other clubs a look in
Who is in charge now of recruitment ?? Is it still McDonnell ??

He will stay. He loves playing for the club and with his mates. This club hasnt lost too many players over the years that it wanted to keep. Last one would be Teo.

What annoys me about Teddy is how every commentator says he has had such a bad run with injuries. He has had one injury. Sure a nasty one, but one that happens to a lot of young players. They make it sound like he has missed three of four seasons with injuries.

Start of last year, he looked in trouble every time he got in a tackle.

That tackle today was scary.

I'd wait until mid-season before signing him again just to see how his body goes. Other than that I'd sign him up long time yesterday.

Tigergirlz in 2011 he played SG Ball and NYC. No injuries that year. 2012 played first grade and did his ACL in first game. 2013 no major injuries.

He may had a few injuries prior to SG Ball but dont think you can count that.

Ironically he has had few injuries. Brooks and Moses have had more injuries than Teddy had.

Mayer needs to be held accountable for his failure to secure Tedesco. I am sure teddy wants to stay the question is why doesn't Mayer ? Chookpen kennel and greenhouse all now talking up Tedesco.
Why why why Mayer have you not resigned him ?

I know you hate Mayer (I am assuming you believe he slept with your significant other at sometime and was better at it then you) but he hasn't failed to secure Tedesco - he has already stated Teddy is number 1 priority. Of course they are talking up Tedesco he is a future origin fullback

I have also heard from a very good Parramatta friend that they have now thrown their hat in the ring as we'll for Tedesco.
Why are you having a go at Irvine ? His question was why hasn't, Mayer resigned Tedesco… a reasonable question.
And a question Mayer has not answered.
There was ample opportunity to resign Tedesco in the off season.
Why didn't it happen ?

Why the hell would Parramatta want/need Tedesco when they have Hayne and Hopoate there? There are a few clubs that could definitely use him, North QLD, Bulldogs … and US. We need him. We've got nobody else and why would we want anybody else. We can't lose him. It'd be worse than losing Fifita because Fifita didn't look like a world beater when he left.

Geez i was worried when he went down today
What m i saying….. I'm always worried when Teddy stays down.

Real asset to our team
Anyone can play Fullback but not all have the same courage.

almost had a heart attack….

it'd be just so fitting though, tigers uncover an amazing gem......and he's injured for 10 months.

touch wood everyone stays healthy this year for once

I said this in another thread but if reports from Belmore are true on what they're paying their players, they will have no cap room to offer Tedesco anything worth considering.

The 2015 cap is $6.55 million, so if it's true that Fifita is on $850k, Graham on $700k, Williams on $600k, Pritchard on $500k, that's 40% of the cap gone in four players - and that's not even considering other rep players like Morris, Reynolds, Kasiano and the rumors of offering Lichaa $300k a year. I understand that contracts can be front/back ended so these figures may not reflect what will be lodged under the 2015 cap, but there's some seriously creative accounting going on…

Surely the Tigers can clearly see we've got a LOCAL superstar on our hands... We've finally got a strong and stable 1 and 7 for the first time since Hodgo/Prince.

Bulldogs will let a few players go, having said this….

Barring a major "Break the Bank" play. it is my educated opinion that Teddy will be a Tiger for life.
