I'm starting to get over this now. Tedesco is an amazing talent and I would be shattered to lose him. However we won both games that he missed when we had Farah. If he wants to commit career suicide by going to Canberra for a few extra dollars then that's his funeral.

Yep I posted much the same a week or so back. I reckon between Rowe but more likely Moses we have a pretty reasonable fullback in the making if Teddy takes off.

 i only looked at this thread again to post the same as fergiefurr. man, talk about dragging something out…. whats the hold up?!!!
i really hope they re-sign him as i think he is worth a gamble and a great young player, but the effect of prolonging it is working only to create apathy as far as im concerned.

I think most of us are sick of how long this has dragged on. In my opinion it has dragged on way too long. Considering Teddy's been injured you would've put money on a more streamlined process but it hasn't developed and it's pretty obvious why? The Tigers won't be able to compete with the money any other club offers Teddy.

Teddy heading down to Canberra to check it all out obviously is not a good sign but at the same time what it will do is speed up the process. It will also force Teddy into really making the right decision. One way or another i'd expect a decision to be not far off.

If he seriously wants to take the money then let him. I don't want players playing for my team unless their heart is set on it. I hope Teddy realizes that football is more important than money and elects to stay.

I did a bit of investigating and have found the following from Thursday's SMH.

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/josh-mansour-james-tedesco-on-canberra-raiders-wishlist-20140522-zrlck.html

"We've met with them [Canberra] and had a bit of a look at the joint, but we haven't spoken a cent to the Raiders or anybody,'' Ayoub said.
"With Josh or any other player, we need to talk to their own clubs and talk to others to see what's out there, and that's what we're doing.''

To be honest it sounds very informal at this point and nothing to be overly worried about yet.

People are reading way to much on tedesco's visit to Canberra,Farah went to the Gold Coast and to Parramatta when he was in contract talks. He would be not to talk and suss out rival clubs, but at the end of the day I think he will give Mayer first chance at his signature

Like everyone else, I'm simultaneously annoyed and worried by the delay in signing him. But if it gives the club an extra hundred thou under the cap to keep an emerging talent, the pain has been worthwhile.

Of course, if we push it too far and we lose him, I'll be filthy.

Do you believe anything Ayoub says ?

Thinking it's a ploy by Ayoub to drive up the price. Get the Tigers scared that he's now visiting other clubs. No surprise who Josh Mansour's agent is… Any guesses?

Get over it guys ..if Tedesco wanted to be at the club he would of signed already! The guy obviously is out for the $$ and there is nothing wrong with that. I have always been in two minds about this , IMO he is an an injury waiting to happen it will be interesting how he goes tommorow night ..sorry forgot he is still warming the bench. As posted previously you only have to look at tapes and see who is actually making him look good maybe Teddy should have a look .Money has to be the driving force otherwise why would you want to have the experience that the Raiders will offer . Don't be to despondent if he signs elsewhere as this could be a blessing in disguise .

Don't blame Teddy, obviously his manager playing games. Which is his job, I guess. Just remember Ayoub's 7th house depends on the commission of Teddy's contract.

The photo is obviously staged.

Ayoub to media mate: need a page filler for Friday?
Mate to Ayoub: sure, where and when…
Ayoub to mate: Sydney arrivals, gate 14, 3 pm. Two clubs with one stone. Can't wait to see what the property market is doing tomorrow

News report on Channel 9 this morning that Tedesco was in Canberra yesterday in talks with some Canberra officials. I'd think he'd want their whole salary cap to go there.

I'd lose all respect for him if he went to Canberra and wouldn't play him at all for the rest of the year. I can understand signing for the Bulldogs/Roosters with their amazing teams and coach, but Canberra? He's just a sellout if he does that.

67 pages on tedesco? Love him but happy we signed brooks, simona, nofo, sirro instead. As good as is he isnt top 6 fb's in the game. Hope we keep him but if we dont then so be it…

Yeah God forbid the blokes tries and earns the best living possible for himself

greed. and more greed. what happens in a couple of years and team y offers more. does he change again and again. one has to question if teddys attitude fits our culture. I say let his footy do the talkin.

This whole contract drama is taking an age,I mean Noffo,Sirro,Simona all signed in a matter of days/weeks,this has been going for months,I personally have had enough, just go to Canberra mate if money is all you want.
I mean you are a great prospect, but you have missed as many games as you played, you may become a great player,or an immortal but at this stage you have played 25 games, and as such the club can't throw ridiculous money at you.
There is a salary cap to try and fit under, and you have let Noffo and Sirro sign while you procastinated,so more dollars have disappeared,it is probably your managers fault but the longer this goes the more you look like a mercenary.
I love all our juniors and would be stoked to keep you with the rest already signed, but if you want huge dollars just put an end to this so we can get on with trying to A win this year and B plan ahead for when your gone.

It's huge money for someone who has never played Origin. I couldn't blame him for taking it. I just find it annoying that it's dragging on so long when it's clear the WT can't or won't go near the higher offers. For that, no matter how good Teddy is or could be, I have to congratulate Mayer for being financially responsible in regards to the future of this club.
