Doesn't validate some of the crap that has been said. At the end of the day he made a decision within the rules, despite it being unpalatable.

On the issue itself, I am glad he is staying. If anything it suggests that he was led on by his agent or family.

I can really feel for Tedesco. He must have been to hell and back over all of this. Thank God he's decided to follow his heart and not his head. I know it's a cruel blow to Canberra, but for James, it's obviously the right decision. Welcome back young fella.
 
It cant be true…..Teddy is leaving because Grant Mayer is a bad man! Mayer is still at the club so this cant be true?

Don't feel so bad for Canberra. Both parties would have known that there was a "Get Out (Cooling Off) Clause" involved with the deal and Tedesco has decided to use it. Personally I have had a similar dealing in my career. After a corporation offered me a job following an interview I had with them I resigned from my employee for whom I had worked 8 years with. After two days at my new job I realised that the benefits which were promised to me very much not forthcoming. Without knowing whether I would find any other new employment I asked to be released on the basis of the broken promises. The new employer granted the release and fortunately for me I was able to find new, and better, employment within weeks of leaving.
 
Cultured Bogan pointed out to me off site that Mayer is Man of the match during this whole debacle - he has held himself with dignity, poise and grace during this whole saga, whilst remaining a strong leader of the club.

I think a lot of you should be apologizing to Mayer on Twitter.
 
I wasn't expecting this news, but at least it's good news. Teddy will still earn very good money at the Tigers and this is a massive boost heading into Sunday's game against the Knights.
 
Just browsed the raiders forum and there is way more anger toward sticky and their board. They are really feeling that even with a cashed up chest the raiders just cannot attract players.
 
YEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Was pretty upset when he said he was going to Canberra but so bloody happy right now! Feel pretty sorry for Canberra fans at the moment though (and I wasn't born in 89 so whatever happened then doesn't really mean anything to me), this, along with everything else, would really suck for them. But thank you, thank you, thank you Teddy, couldn't have been easy!

Brings back memories of when Tim Brasher held the Tigers board to ransom when he wanted mega $$$ and when the only club that was prepared to sign him was lol@$ouffs he came back cap in hand wanting to stay but was told to go and get #$$% as he had missed the deadline for re-signing!.

No regrets for the crap I put on him… teddy's backflip only vindicates our reaction... I reckon he spent some time on here reading the posts... So credit to us posters!!!!
