Tedesco to the wing??

atm to me, it seems pretty simple.
pick your best fullback.. the one who you think can serve you the best in round 1.
pick your best wingers, centres, halves etc.

atm im sick of thinking of the future.. what if he breaks himself again, what if he lacks confidence etc. you cant possibly know that until you give him a shot there. if ATM tedesco is better than moltzen then pick him at 1\. let the future worry about itself.

no one knows what the future will be… pick your 17 who can serve you the best in their positions.

We have not had a fullback since Hodgo left.
Now we have one, he is young but should be played.

Why put Tedesco on the wing if he is a fullback ? Haven't we learned something about playing players out of position last year ? It just doesn't work .

Its all about a path back, its not about turning him into the worlds greatest winger.

Now if hes ready, physically and mentally than sure, put him at fullback in R1….but if hes not, or he is close than maybe NSW Cup or perhaps a wing spot in 1sts (if nobody else is putting their hand up) should be an option.

This is not a comparable situation to Lawrence/Ayshford/Fulton/Humble/Moltzen/Farah spending time in the halves last year.

You're all being silly. A winger is just a fullback that plays wide. In no time he would be the best winger in the club imo. If he's not gonna pick him at fullback I'm happy for him to be chosen on the wing just so he is on the park.

Look at Koro. He supports up the guts all the damn time. Other than that, fielding kicks, running fast, attacking kicks, defusing bombs, running the ball back, taking second hit up. These are all things that both fullbacks and wingers do. Jobs basically the same. Teddy would slay it on the wing. Teddy/Koro wing pairing would be awesome. And if Moltz can bottle that late 2011 form then he can stay fullback because he was REALLY BLOODY GOOD at it. He just needs to show some consistency.

1\. Moltzen of the good variety
2\. Teddy
3\. Aysh
4\. Rowdy
5\. Koro

Would work. If Moltzen doesn't cut it then fine, ditch him completely and put Teddy in and bring in Utai.

I can't wait til Potter sees Moltzen try to catch a bomb without jumping and with his eyes closed. Being a fullback I fully expect Moltzen to be sacked after one round.

Anyone who watched the second half of the Foundation Cup can see that Teddy is ready for selection - as fullback. In fact I see this as the key selection which will determine our chances against the Knights. Tedesco has to be fullback. If he is we are a chance. Otherwise, I cant see it.

As for Moltz, I dont really care. Positionally he was good against Easts and made no mistakes that I saw. Ran the ball back pretty well. But he just hasn't got that ability to continually sniff for opportunities that comes so naturally to Tedesco.

Is there a way to rewatch foundation cup? Really wanna see it again…especially to look at big t, moltz and teddy. highlight reel would suffice i guess.

what a waste of a thread.
We all know that Tedesco will be fullback in the long run. :deadhorse:
Im not bowing when Mick Potter speaks.
He has to earn the respect.

There's little doubt that Tedesco is the better option long term at fullback. Heck, even right now he is probably the better selection. However, the coach, his assistants too, will have plenty to weigh up. I tend to agree that if Tedesco is in the 17 named, it will be at fullback. If not then state cup it is. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that Potter will give Tedesco a few game in state cup just to get him in the swing of things.

I don't really vouch for placing him on the wing. Yes, the idea has merit but if he were to be a wing option, would he be considered above Koroibete, Utai or Noafoluma?? I doubt so.
