Maybe that's it. Although I totally understand the Roosters punting Matterson, it was clear the guy just wanted $$$$$.

Hodgson too had a stack of personal troubles and this is way before the Robinson days. I mean this is before the Mason days of Easts from memory.

Hopefully May is just a bit more normal. He seems willing to put the effort in, but not subscribing to the nuts culture of Easts.
 
I absolutely love this signing and think he’s exactly what the club needs.

I feel as though we’ve finally got a real enforcer in the pack and it’s something we’ve lacked for over a decade now.

Impressive motor on him too. Hopefully that commitment to endurance rubs off on some of his teammates.

Yeah T felt really good when we got this signing over the line wasn't confident with the pack until it happened feeling better now.

The good thing about him, looking back through season 23 & 24 is that the more minutes he plays, the stronger his returns are.
I respect Robbo as a strategist and overall thinker in the game. However it seems he has dropped the ball with May for mine and I can’t understand why. He’d give him 70 minutes one game due to injuries, May would punch out very impressive numbers such as 170+ in attack and 30+ in defence @ near 100% and the next week he’d give him 13 minutes in 2 different stints!
Crazy.

I think this is one of the last pieces of the puzzle for us.

We haven’t had consistently good egde players since 2011.

Under Sheens I felt like we were short of big middles until around 2010 but had an abundance of backrowers and outside backs.

Since then we’ve always been short on centres and second rowers. Don’t know why it’s been so hard to fill these roster gaps for us.

I never understand why we can't get good centers.

Actually it seems we hire a bunch of Bad centers, having lots of DEPTH at Center and very little Quality.
Seriously John Morris + Chris Lawrence would be our last good center pairing.

We tried at times. I remember us pinching Joel Reddy from Parra, Madge hiring BJ and Roberts which was a lot of cap money...

Yet we never seemed to get good centers. In many ways I see centers as near vital. They help the winger get the jump on the opposition, score themselves and hold that defensive line.

think the system will be right in a few years or less where the club just has them knocking down the door, nothing wrong with an import from time to time ,or a lose of a junior

John Morris was a Centre for us?
News to me (And him probably)

Both Chris and Ayshford had a good year in 2010...

Centre has been an issue forever,
The last decent centre we signed was Paul Whatuira - A long time ago.

It's a worry that he's putting so much effort into being the Temu version of Spanian.
I only made it halfway through the latest one.
Of course I realise I'm about a hundred years older than his target audience but it's hard to not start to think he sees his career as being a Youtuber, not an NRL player.
