Seriously Vietnamese as a cuisine is under-appreciated. Some are just average bakeries, others are damn fresh.
Viet Spring rolls, if done right are awesome. So many spring rolls are vegetarian only... the good ones have pork and occasionally chilli. If they are smaller, they can be the good ones.
But yea, Cash only. That said the culture aligns with my values, why pay 20c for ATM transaction?
It's a lazy tax...

I haven’t noticed. I have one near me…they take both.
But the government has created this problem , with all women have to be. Believed , I am not saying there not correct a lot , but my mate is a barrister and the story’s he tells me u would not believe.
I can understand why they had to put the suicide prevention railing on the Moonee Moonee bridge... Imagine being forced by a court to cough up a large portion of your wage just so your ex and her new boyfriend can stay in YOUR house partying while you're sleeping on a mates lounge or a pub room, and you get two hours or whatever a week to see your kids... And there's nothing you can do about it

Theres plenty of stories like this. I know guys who have lost the lot, including visitation of their own children after decades of building a life together. Unfortunately the media focus on the scumbags who beat their women, creating a narrative that all women are in danger. Maybe if the courts werent so savage in their determinations, some men would not go this route out of sheer desperation and tarnish the rest unfairly.

I know quite a few mates where they could be seen to be hard done by in a separation, however, 'On average, one woman a week is killed by her intimate partner.'
Its easy for us blokes to say stuff because we are generally the ones doing nothing to stop it.

Know in more than a few cases where the Cash Only business is in one partners name,
The other Partner is on the Rock N Roll and they use that money for holidays every year.
Believe cash only is big in the Nail Salon world (Illegal Workers)
Often, There'll put a POS machine in if they're looking to sell up to get some money on the books to jack up the prices.
It's putrid - Living the dream they say.
Free medical, Free Schooling, bugger all tax and a Holiday bonus on the back of the taxpayer every year.
Should be Illegal.
It's a hard one - With the machine, the bank ends up with it all (And we give them enough)
With cash only, We're stuck paying more tax with folks rorting it....

I dont think thats true anymore. Men who abuse or get physical with women are generally ostracised by the social groups they belong to and that is male led.

Problem is, it can go unnoticed. Worked with a guy for years, who everyone thought was the nicest guy around. Then it came to light he would bash his partner black and blue. You don't know what goes on behind closed doors.
I believe 70+ women lost their lives in 2024 due to DM.
And what’s the male dead rate , no one cares about that figure , just putting it out there

The argument made was that men are not doing anything to stop it. I disagree. The days of the blind eye are well past.
70+ is a shocking figure and those who perpetrate this act should be severely punished. However, 70 out of over 10 million people living together in relationships in this country isnt the epidemic that we are being told it is. The vast majority do not engage in this garbage. As men are the aggressive component of a relationship, surely that means men ARE doing something about it?
