OFFICIAL Terrell May #296

Taumalolo has been on a mil a season for years and years and has been bog average for a big chunk of that. Im confident TDM is far better than he is so if it is that so be it hes worth it to us.
? This is recency bias big time. Of the 9 years I think he’s played under that contract , maybe 2 of them you’d say he didn’t deserve it . . Those first 5 years he was head and shoulders better than any other forward in the game . Then Payne Hass came along. He’s a gun .

Winning should help players to stay and a close bond with your team mates, except money bags Jerome of course he's had a career of nothing but winning its all about the $$$$
?? He’s had 3 years on big dollars by the end of 2027z before that it was 600k . Good money ? Sure but not life changing . He now has the chance to makes probably 6mil for 3 seasons invest 5 of that , and create a portfolio that will set up his whole extended family , especially his immediate one forever.
The guy grew up in poverty . A dad in and out of jail , food barely being available all the time , rationing clothes etc. I find these comments disgraceful , as most of the people saying it are middle class to upper class people , who simply don’t know what a childhood like that would motivate .
He probably not only wants to set up his family but his brothers/sisters if they’re struggling , his nephews/ nieces and everyone who had to endure the same hardships he did as a kid .
I went through a bit , we flirted with the poverty line at times , even I think about how I would set my sisters up , pay for my nephew/neices , and help them along. Because this whole “pick your socks up , tough love” bullshit I’ve seen on here simply is not accessible to people on minimum wage , who nether have the education or Tbh the skills and IQ(undiagnosed intellectual disabilities , like dyslexia , are extremely common in lower socio economic families ) . Like the tiger town podcast . Dude has a [This word has been automatically removed] and a sook clearly from his private shed with dewalt tools in the background .
Just because you’ve managed to sort your shit out and get ahead doesn’t mean everyone in Romeys life has , nor ever will , nor will thier kids or grandkids . It’s a circuit breaker of the poverty cycle .
If I was in his shoes I would do the exact same thing , put a mil of it aside , get my sister an apartment and set up thier kids with a trust after looking after my own first . Thats what this guy is trying to do .
And I bleed orange black and white . I’m literally posting on the forum right now .

for game one SOO he should be nsw premium front rower now that Haas is out. Daley will not pick him though.
Great signing worth every cent
Im sure I once posted here when the Wests Tigers were last in the mix for the finals (Back under my former nome de plume) cruising along leading into Origin 1, had players in seriously hot form yet not a single one got a selection in state of origin that I said that even if the WT were the reigning Premiers they still wouldn't pick a WT player.

May deserves a shot, as does Doueihi (bench utility super sub) and Twally who I believe has matched or even bettered Terrell so far this season. Api was a shoe in for bench hooker at least until his suspension but I doubt he'd have been selected if both Reece Robson & Mitch Kenny were available.

I doubt May or Twally get selected, despite comp best form. Doueihi is 50/50 for the bench with both Freddy.F & A. Johns calling for his inclusion.

It's called S.O.W.T.A.S ......State of Origin Wests Tigers Aversion Syndrome, it's been going on since circa 2000CE.

AD has the bench utility spot locked up I think . The problem is the Penrith and roosters boys club which runs the nswrl . This includes places like the sharks.

The WTs offered Stefano Utoikamanu $4mill for a 5 years (which he knocked back). Dragon & Canberra were pushing his price up to 900K per season. He signed for the Storm for less.
Terrell May offers the WTs way more than Utoikamanu on the field. So glad Stefano knocked us back.
Kolomatongi is on 1 mil as well . Thompson 800k . He’s got hands like feet .

how much money are the May boys on?
Who really knows M, there was only one figure that came out in the media but how would they know, doubt his manager/club would leak such sensitive information.

I think that figure was a million for Terrell, Taylan no idea, that seems a little steep, in the end who really gives a rats as long as what they paid doesn't cost us a player we need going forward.

reckon they take burton for be ch spot of AD, he can cover centre, halves and has done it before.
Not right as he is not playing good football like AD is

STOKED is a better word. Stef done ZERO in bleak city.

100% agreed. Terrell has been awesome. I have no idea how or why Easts let him go. Did he bang Trent Robinsons missus? It's a rare gift from the gods him signing here.

Ill also state Turuva's impact on the backline cannot be understated. Suddenly we are not giving away 2 tries on the wing and in 2025, teams would actually attack us in the middle. Skelton less so, still the upgrade in edge defense has been massive.

Luai though isn't a disappointment. It's the behind the scenes culture upgrade that he has delivered and our thinking/maneuvering. Remember when Luai first came here and people said "We thought Luai can't play without Cleary. Instead it's Cleary who can't play without Luai". The riff lost a whole stack of games and it was really Luai who was the main man missing.

Luai:
Upgraded our defense.
Upgraded our attitude and belief in our team. Only Luai and Turuva confronted Galvin when he left.
Upgraded our training.
...
Has not Gelled in attack or became "batman"* aka our halfback.

Glad we have the May's locked down. Luai has worked well for us and really given this team a shot in the arm. Someone else said it best though "were approaching the Josh Reynolds years now". We don't need a 5/8 and an aging 5/8 at that.

*Why would Batman be a halfback. Seriously why? Batman would grab the ball, outstep 3 defenders and punch out 2 more then score the try himself. Batman is no team player. A halfback in superhero terms would be closer too Spiderman... Sense and reason, won't lead but will support the leader.
A slight disappointment he (Luai) is going is what I meant.

Who would ever think props would almost be the highest paid players on the field...Bennet must be continually shaking his head
