OFFICIAL Terrell May #296

Looks like my last post was deleted but paying $1m a season for an overweight prop who literally let's players run past him and takes 47 years to play the ball just about sums up this club
Same could be said about paying a million for a lazy fullback who’s soft, can’t bust a tackle and lets a 40/20 go over the side line because he doesn’t want to run it into the defence

Terrell needs Sam Fainu up front with him so he can be 'the other guy'.
Please stop with this lunacy…
Now we’re moving one of our best players from his actual position, to make the fella with the shit attitude a better player.

The levels Terrell has been elevated to here are off the charts.
He’s nothing more than a decent domestic middle, when he’s in the mood. when he’s not, is what you get the last month.

Just on this subject, I agree with you that we cant move Sam. Well I agree we cant move him unless we find another gun edge player.

However i will say this to your comment, Sam moving to the middle wouldn't be moving him from his position, his position has mostly always been a middle and someone close to him said wait until you see him in the middle. Remember his first ever game for us against Canberra? Came off the bench in the middle and tore Canberra a new one. I have no doubt he is the middle enforcer we need, but we cant move him there unless we get a very good edge backrower. We have seen how terrible our defence is outwide when our starting backrowers are out, and at the moment Sam is the only weapon we have in attack. So moving him isnt on the cards I guess. However, Sam and Twal in the middle would eat teams. Sam definitely can be our Sam Burgess, our JFH. Even better than both of them.

He doesn’t have it in him. The way he’s going, he’s only moderately better than Sharon was when he left. He’s soft as butter.
Another thief who signed his big contract and has been rubbish since. Takes one hard hit up all game . Makes sure he has every 4th tackle hit up no matter where we are on the field to stifle our attack. Needs a good long hard long in the mirror

Happy for you to disagree mate,
but him playing in the middle coming through is something I see rolled out all the time (here mostly) - and it’s incorrect.
He played Jnr origin there maybe, because he was too good to leave out.
Beyond that, he’s played edge coming through.

I saw an interview with a senior Manly player when we first got him that said Manly were spewing to lose him, they had big plans for him to partner Haumole in the back row (or words to that effect)

He played a couple games NRL games for Manly, in the back row - and every single recorded reserve grade game he played for Manly (you guessed it)
is in the back row!!

He may end up in the middle, but right now - he’s a back rower, and has been for years!!
Any talk of him playing middle before here, is absolute hogwash!

You're not wrong.
You can't even say he's the 17th best fullback because some clubs have got 2 that are better. Gold Coast have 3 better and they all know what a 40/20 is.

I have to agree.
The best thing the team has is it's backrow combo of Samuela and KPP.
Let's not stuff up the only thing that works.

Yep spot on, manly, cows, dolphins, and a few others probably have better fullbacks as well, my biggest worry though is not that he didn’t know the rules, it’s his softness, it’s that Bula would rather let the ball go out and have our set start in a worse position against a set defence, than have him take the hard carry against the kick chase and start our set in a better spot. If only we could’ve gotten Brimson he would be an automatic upgrade

He does.
He did it at the roosters when he was an impact player.
Play him 55 minutes a game and we will see alot more impact from our boy TDM.

Interesting I dont think he has had many podcasts lately? Probably not mentally in the space we need him atm

Terrell starting to cop alot of the same crap IPap did when he was here .The workload is unsustainable and that impacts performance.Good clubs strengthen teams they don't pile on players who can't do it all
Most common sense statement I have seen. Our forward pack is week this bloke has carried for 2 years playing at a min 20 minutes more then every other prop in the comp including Payne Hass.

People ragging on him literally have no idea the toll this must be taking on him and his career. I'm surprised he is happy to stay tbh

Dude is elite on both ends of field just has been asked to carry a team for to long each and every week

It was also less then 3 months ago when every body that had a clu outside of Daley was like this dude is unbelievable.

He is cooked and it's totally not his fault it's benjis

He’s been our most consistent for 2 years but he needs help up front. I don’t hate the Samuela suggestion but I reckon he’s a bit wasted if he’s not on an edge. Still got levels to go to.
I heard somewhere that Samuela wants to play prop. Not sure how accurate that is. Might be the classic case of strengthening one position by weakening another though if we went down this road.
