Stuff that, we've got enough good talent coming through to want to wait and see. So how about our club puts some faith in the juniors and graded signings and do that, but if we had to take someone from the Bronc's it'd be Haas.

Isaako: a decent kicker, good runner, but an absolute turnstile in defence, we can't afford two Nofo's
Tac Miss T IT T Eff Try Causes Line B Causes Def Errors Pen
28 18 2 58% 15 7 10 5

TPJ: out of the two, the most preferred option, really like his support play and offloads, something our forwards have been deficient in. Really wants the ball close to the line, defence is decent and he has obviously worked on his onfield discipline, I am however keen to see how he handles the current tackling crackdown. For the price he would be commanding I would balk, as he has a tendency to drift in and out of the game.

What the club is offering both, combine it and offer it to Haas

Why are we always helping other clubs get out of their self inflicted salary cap issues, we are almost out of our cap problems let them deal with theirs and keep suffering the consequences

Haas not off contract and not being squeezed out due to cap so no chance!!

Hopefully we don’t pay massive overs for tpg.
Nothing more than 600k And isaako should be less than that

Isaako can stay right where he is as far as I'm concerned especially if he thinks that he is worth more to leave Brisbane to come to us. There is a reason Brisbane has been rubbish for two seasons and the players they are happy to move on have been given plenty of opportunity.

100% per cent agree with you Vinnie, I've been saying the exact same thing every time a Souths player coming off contract. The press and this forum goes absolutely mental about them coming to the Tigers and what an asset these players (past there prime and don't want to be here) would be to our system.
I strongly believe in our juniors and the gradings system and believe that we will be in a premiership window in two to three years, if we just follow that direction.

When we get a reputation for improving the reputation of players we can recruit like Storm, take the player they don’t want to lose at a lower price, rather than the overpriced problems they want to move on. Unfortunately the club has spent the last 20 years with a different focus, so we have little choice but to start these negotiations from that simple advantage point.

Quite possibly yeah. But we won't be if we sack yet another coach. Whilst our juniors & systems are looking good, part of those systems are picking up particular players from outside of them. And the coaching and admin have a plan over longer time frames to bring things to fruition. It's unfortunate that we as fans have expectations that are unrealistic.

The systems have been put in place by Madge and co. Sack them and we start again. It's no a matter of success now, it's a process to go through. Sorry - didn't want to de-rail the topic. I guess it's a yes from me if the moneys there. Although, I'm not a fan of TPJ at all. I think he's a thug and feel that his time on field might be limited should these new head rules remain.

This alleged 2.5 million we have has got to be spent well for 2022

Reckon if we can't get Pangai straight up ...will end up in a bidding war ....

At this time, I assume the club is only talking to them so nothing confirmed yet?

Thuggish players are part of the game, they put fear into the opposition, eg. Easts have been very successful with JWH.

I guess the other side of all this is, do the talented juniors stay with a club that doesn't seem to be successful on the field? Again using Easts as an example, it would be an easy pitch to sign kids to there system from us, promising fame and glory?

Yep, they must a hit list, I wonder who is on it?

Still like to see Hynes come here? I think our current forwards are OK, certainly Pangai, would improve us even more.

If he comes??? Does someone need to go? I'm thinking Garner if that's the case, though he has been playing OK atm.

So a club that is coming 13th and only won two games should not be looking externally to recruit players that are better then what we have. We do not have a second winger in our club. Talau is a centre, cini is a centre /fullback, Hoffman flopped on the wing. Yet we don’t want a fast winger who can kick goals.

I agree, our prime focus should be building the destination so we’re not simply producing tomorrow’s stars for other clubs.

Bit harsh to say Hoffman flopped on the wing, he was an 18 year old kid on a development contract. I do agree we need another winger though. Tommy is a centre. Isaako is one of those players who has it, but he has some real dips in form. Put him in a new environment and who knows.

Fingers crossed we can get this over the line before other clubs become interested..
People are saying how unprofessional it is to have this in the media but I think we have been pretty solid with keeping recruitment tight lipped sense Hartigan joined us.
This was brought to the media's attention by fans and social media by seeing them but you cannot expect them to take separate planes and where wigs to disguise themselves :face_palm: :face_palm: . For me they are clearly working on a plan and not over spending like previous seasons.. well done to all involved.

Sorry if this point was made earlier but as I understand it the only way that The Coach, FM & CEO of a rival club can talk to players still under contract is if the other Club has given permission to do so. This means that the media beat up that "The Tigers were sprung" tells you a lot about the mischief-makers in the MSM. Were they implying that The Tigers had broken contract negotiation protocol?

On an earlier segment of NRL Report, before NRL360, one of the reporters mentioned The Broncos Milford dumping and posed the thought bubble that maybe The Tigers would be interested! No one bit, but the silence was deafening!

We assume that Isaako & Pangai were the targets but as you all have heard, throw Lodge & Milford into the mix along with possible trades of Billy Walters and Mybe and you have more than a trip to discuss two players.

Interestingly on Twitter The Everything Weststigers podcast, he announced on Tuesday that he had a special player guest lined up for Thursday. But that was followed up with an apology early yesterday on Twitter advising a postponement due to a "Meeting" later that day (Wednesday).

We live in interesting times.

That is correct,no offers allowed until the last year of the contract unless the other club has given permission
