So a club that is coming 13th and only won two games should not be looking externally to recruit players that are better then what we have. We do not have a second winger in our club. Talau is a centre, cini is a centre /fullback, Hoffman flopped on the wing. Yet we don’t want a fast winger who can kick goals.

Bit harsh to say Hoffman flopped on the wing, he was an 18 year old kid on a development contract. I do agree we need another winger though. Tommy is a centre. Isaako is one of those players who has it, but he has some real dips in form. Put him in a new environment and who knows.

Poor Hoffman was done no favours by Moses Mbye in his NRL debut.

I have no doubt that Moses was trying to do the right thing by him on the day, but it didn't work out that way.

I really like Reynolds but I dont think Mybe is a good foil for him, Hynes is largely untested and from Melb system. Hodgson is home sick and not playing well (reason why the raiders are moving him on). Staggs and Reynolds is a combo maybe. Or you are guessing Mybe plays link .... I think we beat that team everyday with our line up and we are average at best.

I havent just made this stuff up. Hodgson to the Broncos is a decent rumour going around. As to is Hynes.

Mybe would make a lot of sense as he has a history with Walters and would balance well with Reynolds. Whats more we sent 3 people up to talk to them when if it was a simple contract thing we wouldnt need them all.

Sounds like a player trade to me and the 3 of them needed to work out the nuts and bolts.

Theory is good, with our execs heading up there, hope you are right. I still think that spine for the Broncs is shaky at best

The club just hit fans entitled . Because they have been useless last 2 years
- they complain that their “juniors “ being poached
- all this talk of player drafts
- wanting cap relief for juniors

For once it’s on the other foot and they and certain media personalities want rules changed to benefit them .

Comparing spines and squads is one thing, and certainly you have to have the cattle to be able to be consistently competitive and win more than half your games, but the key to winning is “attitude”, “desire”, “hunger”, “passion”, “CULTURE”, whatever you want to call it, it’s what makes good teams into great teams. The Storm are a perfect example of what effort can achieve even with players that might be journeymen elsewhere.
It doesn’t matter who is in your team if you don’t play with those key qualities. There have been far better rosters than ours that have looked diabolical at times.
My point is we need to find the desire and the “want” in our group and then we will start beating teams. We need leadership on the field from guys who have those qualities innately, that’s why I have been saying for some time that we should only be signing these types of guys, players who can’t bear to lose and who compete and try to win every moment.

Far from it. Has had an unlucky run and at the end of the day if all else fails would make a fortune in the super league.

If I was his manager I would advise against going to the Broncos
