100% but the post I was referring to said that the NRL wouldnt register him. They never de-registered him and as soon as that suspension is served he can play for who ever.

The poster your referring to is a bit wiser than that.
He would of meant the NRL wouldn’t agree to $350 as a nominal value of Vaughn’s contract.
Which I have to agree, Vaughn’s market value despite his recent suspension would be about $550.
Edit. Unless;
If the dogs were to pick him up next year they could very well sign him for $350 as he would be only playing for 2/3rds of the season.
So a wise accountant would make that his first year salary to factor in the time lost in suspension.

Vaughans market value, is what the market will pay for him.....thats kinda how markets work. His "market" value is greatly diminished by his own stupidity.

If the NRL or anyone else have a notional value for him, that is the opposite to Market value.

Haven’t you kind of said the same thing I just said?
Market value of $550 might be a little low, but would be the low scale of a high profile prop.
- the suspension / impacted value of being suspended would bring his face value down to 400-350k

Im not sure we are saying the same thing. WHat ever a club is willin gto pay him, IS his market value.....thats the market,

Wait until you see tomorrows article
JAC ,Tedesco and Moses bury the knives in why they left the WT’s
Bulldog Ritchie story

Thats Jason Taylor and poor management.

Theyre gone and slowly is the garbage WT culture....

Taylor was already gone. They had the option to stay and play under Ivan if they REALLY wanted to be here. But they didn’t.

I hate Ivan and what he did to us, but can you imagine an alternate universe where the big four AND Cleary stayed?

I'd rather not, I'd hate to think the sort of success we may have enjoyed.

You mean the big 3 + Woods?

They are very confident on the kennel that TPJ is a done deal to them and they are just finalising details.

Because they know more on their fan site than we do on our fan site???

JAC
Naden
TPJ
Vaughan
I’d happily take any of them haha.

Dogs are getting Vaughan for $350000 cause no other club wants him

Fair enough,he is stupid but his numbers are still better than most of our fowards

Combined.

I’d much rather they were thinking they had lost him to us lol, then they had him.

If the dogs match what TPJ wants and they aren’t far off it he will sign with the dogs. TPJ manager prefers dogs over tigers

Does he?

It's a funny one - he "prefers" Team X, but only if they can pay him K dollars. If not, then he prefers the Team Y who does pay him K dollars. Seems really that he just likes K dollars.

Heard he loves "Special K" too.....

He's just a regular guy.

Thankfully the kennel rely on the telegraph, and even then they rely more on the pretty pictures than words

Did I read the Dogs are after Paul Vaughan ? If so you would have to think they are out of the TPJ stakes ?
I hope this gets sorted ASAP either with us or not so we can move onto the next target.
My Gut feeling is he is waiting for other clubs to make moves so he can get a good deal elsewhere.

I would think recruitment would be looking at more than 1 target at a time..

You sure about that ?

We look at one target every few months lol

Ivan used a shotgun.

Tranquilizer me thinks ......

A player's market value is irrelevant. We cannot offer to pay Munster 200k in the cap and 2 million in tpas. That's just not how the cap works.

That's an extreme example, but you can't just pay any player how much you want under the cap and call it market value

Joe Stimson come on down

From what I have seen the true definition of a Storm Star and a failure at 12 other clubs

He looked the goods and dropped off a cliff at the Dogs ...even lost his motor lol

Most likely helped by the cap relief from Cotric coming over.

Yes I agree, but plenty on here keep rubbishing the Dogs and their recruitment, I don't get it, Barrett can attract good players, Madge can't attract a fly to a turd

Barret keeps getting his players because he keeps promising ever player he signs they are playing fullback and paying fullback money to have them on the wing. Eg cotric and foxx. They signed dufty to play there also. Nafen is rubbish can't even make the side at panthers even Jennings got a spot before him. Burton only went because he wanted a starting spot and knew Barrett already. Tpj won't sign there and also Vaughan.
