I agree this is why I do not rate Maguire as much of a coach .

The club has been underperforming, even allowing for our young forwards and turtle backline. Some selections are baffling to say the least. I smell an odour in the background, and with Sheens returning, i would be very nervous if i was Madge.

TPJ seems to at least be entertaining playing for us and it’s in the best interests of his still early playing days to come prove himself -

I’d look at any good centre/5/8ths at the moment who aren’t locked down and, yes that includes Manu and Staggs...

Finucane’s shutting up shop and people think he’d be of considerable benefit because he HAS played in many grand finals previously; that counts for less than nothing if you’ve had a long term culture of rewarding 9th spot. We already have Tamou and our best bet is promoting players like Seyfarth... can’t do it all on his own but somebody straight from the Storm (best culture, arguably) wouldn’t make a dent on our shoddy record.

It’s a catch-22 where we’ve already tried one way and it seems the only other path is via rebuilding... again?

Have you watched him this year? He's averaging >170m a game and has missed 9 tackles. If you think he sucks i'd hate to think what you think of our middles.

If we get TPJ, that should be enough forwards. We have a promising pack, and plenty of them, in 12mths i think we will be fine.Lets get some quality backs, and build up our cup side, this is vital, we have been let down by our lack of depth .

That’s obviously fair enough. Not seeing many. We’ve gone 11 years buying off cuts so it’s just not an option to dismiss a marquee signing - which there’s even less of.

I wonder if we aren’t up Schitt’s Creek

Absolutely, Avo. We need somebody who does the work really effectively and doesn’t pad stats like our forwards. The drive and enthusiasm of Twal with the ability of a Klemmer... where do we manufacture one

Theyre Offloading 12 odd at the tail end of this season.

Klemmer is a spent force. Apart from experience there is no real upgrade for us at this stage of his career.

Im happy if we get the Agro and offload of TPJ.

Bulldogs Klemmer would be fantastic bar the rule changes !

In attack he hits the contact and gets the legs pumping as soon as his stopped, falls quick to his front, quick play the ball, offloading and shifting out the back.
He is one of the standout players in Melbourne’s forward pack.
There is still plenty of football in him!

I'd love him here but not on the dollars or contract length he is after. It's too risky. Compare that to TPJ reported 2.5 year contract and I know which one I'd go for.
