I’m telling you, TPJ might seem like an x-factor, and he no doubt can be, but the suspensions will wear thin real fast.

His presence though, when on field is the real threat... to opposition.

Madge needs to sit him down and work out strategies where he can control his aggression whilst playing his natural game and creating that second phase play we desperately lack.

I think a few of the other forwards could really benefit from a player like TPJ and hopefully they work as a strong unit with guys like Gildart, Luarie and AD following along for those offloads.

TPJ could be huge for us from transforming us from a soft pack to a feared one.

Demps : I'm not disagreeing with you but, quite a few on here are adamant that Madge can't coach.
So if that's the case how is he going to coach TPJ **and** change his aggressive attitude.

I don't want him to change his aggressive attitude. We need an enforcer and TPJ can be that person.
We need to be able to have some teams fear playing us. After the last game the under 9's might, however they are getting bigger so they may not for to much longer.

If he only knocks out Matterson and Moses he will be worth his contract.

YES!!! :+1: :+1: :+1: couldn't agree more @Sully re Matterson and Moses, and we certainly need a couple of blokes that can be aggressive in tackles without being dumb.

Easy.
Let Farah, Sheens and Kimmorley do it.

Farah as coach is one of the most out there suggestions I have ever heard.

Farah is a born leader with so much football intelligence.

Tell me it's a bad idea.

At this point in time it is a terrible idea.

Apparently Newcastle want Finucane and Gagai.
What does that mean for Klemmer if they get Finucane?
I recon Wests Tigers should go hard for Klemmer and TPJ and let Finucane go to the Knights or wherever else he is wanted.

Klemmer sucks has never been as good as he was since at the doggies

Klemmer (aka Samson) lost his strength when he shaved his head

If we get TPJ, that should be enough forwards. We have a promising pack, and plenty of them, in 12mths i think we will be fine.Lets get some quality backs, and build up our cup side, this is vital, we have been let down by our lack of depth .

I think our pack needs TPJ and another good middle. We’re getting hammered most weeks

Absolutely, Avo. We need somebody who does the work really effectively and doesn’t pad stats like our forwards. The drive and enthusiasm of Twal with the ability of a Klemmer... where do we manufacture one

Dan Safiti?

If only. Would love to have him at our club. Great player.

Yeah :+1: good suggestion Demps.

And thanks for suggesting I settle down  a few posts back.
I realise now I was getting carried away with the [genuine] positivity, hoping others would also be able to see the good things that Our Club is doing and has done just recently.
Then if they could see that it would hopefully lift their own mood.
And Yuh never know, it may have just left a positive 'impression' without them realising it.
But I was trying too hard...I'll mind my own business in future.

Just have Seyfarth poised to butt in whenever things got heated with TPJ, as he can really talk the talk and seemingly without getting flustered himself.

Plus Alex seems very willing to to accommodate opponents that may decide to walk the walk if it starts. I like him and his on field conversations.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, especially on a forum like this but if you can’t see that TPJ is miles in front of any of our current forwards in impact, in collision, intimidation and offloads, well….idk…this is even despite him being a little light in the top paddock.

I haven't seen anyone on here question his potential (or talent, which TBH he has displayed minimal of so far). People are questioning how much value he will be to us with his track record at the judiciary.

As I said previously, I get that totally.
I still think he ticks boxes and makes us a better side.

Maybe Bennett is coming ?

The question is, which Pangai do we get?
Do we get the potential Jared WH who will intimidate the opposition ,not withstanding you accept he will miss 5 weeks every season due to suspension.
Or, do you get the younger and out of control version of Packer, without the brains?
Our Club has got to maintain its vision for who's right for this club. It cannot be seen to be stampeded by the Media. For me he is a huge gamble.

Not having a crack at you GNR but IMO this club and its fans need to stop being scared of their own shadow. "Lets not get this guy because he is too volatile and will get suspended"...."Lets sign this guy because he is consistent and reliable".

Rubbish. Get players who will rip and tear, bash the opposition and opposition teams will look for. We are never going to polite/nice/consistent/leader our way into the top 4.

Don't understand your last sentence mate. "We are never going to consistent our way into the top 4". That is the ONLY way of getting into the top 4.

WHat I mean is if the characteristic we look for in a potential player is always "consistent", we wont make it. Yes we need to be consistent, but we need players with exceptional characteristics. Twal is fantastic but if we had a pack of him we are bottom 4.

Madge is on thin ice, Sheens, Kimmorley and Farah added to the staff , is an indicator the club is not happy with the coaching, I was a fan , but i think he is past it. The hard nosed coach that got results, has turned into the Bennet father figure, which is not working.
