Everyone is entitled to their opinion, especially on a forum like this but if you can’t see that TPJ is miles in front of any of our current forwards in impact, in collision, intimidation and offloads, well….idk…this is even despite him being a little light in the top paddock.

I haven't seen anyone on here question his potential (or talent, which TBH he has displayed minimal of so far). People are questioning how much value he will be to us with his track record at the judiciary.

Badel is on the money with the 2.5 year offer which will be submitted today to TPJ Manager, but currently at the Broncos they don't know their left from their right.
As seen with the whole Billy Walters saga the Broncos do more flips then Cirque Du Le !
TPJ will cost us a maximum of $150k for 2021 & if they take Walters in a trade the final amount will be used to upgrade a lower grade player to the top 30 with Kiah Cooper, Pauga & Tuilagi the likely.

In relation to Finucane to say those in the club are divided is an understatement. Those who want him is purely for influence/culture on & off the field. The other side wary of long term deal biting us in the rear like Packer.
Club discussed a 2 year deal but Finucane's management won't entertain that at all unless there's a 3rd year option in his favour.
It will cost a minimum of $650-$675k per year for him to join us, I don't think we are his number 2 choice let alone number 1.

Get rid of the wary ones if they can’t see the difference between Packer and Finucane they should go administer rugby union.

Is he worth $650k though? I don't think he's worth anywhere near that. And three years should be avoided.

Yes if he drives standards and makes everyone else better. No if he has a pie at Brookie then leaves at HT.

I recon Wests Tigers should go hard for Klemmer

Klemmer is a spent force. Apart from experience there is no real upgrade for us at this stage of his career.

Im happy if we get the Agro and offload of TPJ.

Bulldogs Klemmer would be fantastic bar the rule changes !

Klemmer is off to a QLD team.
He said it himself.

Don’t write off the dogs just yet but we are favourites too sign him but it could end up like JAC

The dogs have no money until they can offload a few players

They don’t need to have money they can still sign him and than offload players.

It was supposed to be the Bronco's, hence the letting TPJ and Lodge talk to other clubs

If we are going to change our fortunes as a club the rebuild should be targetting effort players above all else. Blokes who put in every game and at training. That is where Finucane excels.
A bloke like TPJ might help jag you another win or 2 per season through talent but has a track record of poor attitude, lazy, undisciplined etc. That will not change the mindset around our club that is needed to crawl us up the ladder in the next few years. We have had more than our share of talented players over the years, some with questionable attitudes, and where has that got us? The number of pure effort players we have had in that time is much smaller. Lawrence, Ellis and Farah would be the only 3 I could really think of from the last decade. That speaks volumes.
We need to build on heart, effort and example. Not inconsistent flash-in-the-pan type players.

I’m telling you, TPJ might seem like an x-factor, and he no doubt can be, but the suspensions will wear thin real fast.

Well our current blokes have enough weeks off even without been suspended. As long as he shows up on the field we will be ahead

His presence though, when on field is the real threat... to opposition.

Madge needs to sit him down and work out strategies where he can control his aggression whilst playing his natural game and creating that second phase play we desperately lack.

I think a few of the other forwards could really benefit from a player like TPJ and hopefully they work as a strong unit with guys like Gildart, Luarie and AD following along for those offloads.

TPJ could be huge for us from transforming us from a soft pack to a feared one.

Not having a crack at you GNR but IMO this club and its fans need to stop being scared of their own shadow. "Lets not get this guy because he is too volatile and will get suspended"...."Lets sign this guy because he is consistent and reliable".

Rubbish. Get players who will rip and tear, bash the opposition and opposition teams will look for. We are never going to polite/nice/consistent/leader our way into the top 4.

However, we get players suspended just because they look at someone with an evil eye, so a real aggressive guy would be good for a change.

Demps : I'm not disagreeing with you but, quite a few on here are adamant that Madge can't coach.
So if that's the case how is he going to coach TPJ **and** change his aggressive attitude.

It's all about the mix of aggression though, NAS is aggressive but doesn't make dumb errors and get suspended a lot. If Pangai can do that he's one of the best forwards in the world but he's yet to find that balance yet

I don't want him to change his aggressive attitude. We need an enforcer and TPJ can be that person.
We need to be able to have some teams fear playing us. After the last game the under 9's might, however they are getting bigger so they may not for to much longer.

If he only knocks out Matterson and Moses he will be worth his contract.

Easy.
Let Farah, Sheens and Kimmorley do it.

Don't understand your last sentence mate. "We are never going to consistent our way into the top 4". That is the ONLY way of getting into the top 4.

Klemmer sucks has never been as good as he was since at the doggies

Klemmer (aka Samson) lost his strength when he shaved his head

If we get TPJ, that should be enough forwards. We have a promising pack, and plenty of them, in 12mths i think we will be fine.Lets get some quality backs, and build up our cup side, this is vital, we have been let down by our lack of depth .

I think our pack needs TPJ and another good middle. We’re getting hammered most weeks

Absolutely, Avo. We need somebody who does the work really effectively and doesn’t pad stats like our forwards. The drive and enthusiasm of Twal with the ability of a Klemmer... where do we manufacture one

Dan Safiti?
