I’m telling you, TPJ might seem like an x-factor, and he no doubt can be, but the suspensions will wear thin real fast.

His presence though, when on field is the real threat... to opposition.

Madge needs to sit him down and work out strategies where he can control his aggression whilst playing his natural game and creating that second phase play we desperately lack.

I think a few of the other forwards could really benefit from a player like TPJ and hopefully they work as a strong unit with guys like Gildart, Luarie and AD following along for those offloads.

TPJ could be huge for us from transforming us from a soft pack to a feared one.

Demps : I'm not disagreeing with you but, quite a few on here are adamant that Madge can't coach.
So if that's the case how is he going to coach TPJ **and** change his aggressive attitude.

Easy.
Let Farah, Sheens and Kimmorley do it.

Farah as coach is one of the most out there suggestions I have ever heard.

Farah is a born leader with so much football intelligence.

Tell me it's a bad idea.

Bro ...didn't you have someone spotting for you today

What are u talking about haha

Weights bro ........head knock ...HIA ...don't think Robbie would make a good head coach

Not a head coach.
But an assistant coach.

If he proves himself at another club 1st

We as a club need a break from Benji and Robbie for a good 5 years ......weed out all the crap 1st and then if they are prepared to tow the line and not leak crap to the media every 5 minutes ...maybe

Robbie is at the club currently.

Yep ...and we still haven't learnt a god damn thing ...dumbest NRL club by a mile ....no other club brings back trouble makers .....losers

Robbie is a trouble maker?
Lol mate, might be time to become happy_rabbit and join your mate @alien

Robbie had Sheens sacked with the backing of Balmain Juniors .....had his conversation with Gordie in regards to Potter ...clashed with Taylor and Pascoe

Players play Demps ....don't get involved in club politics

Doesn't happen at 15 other clubs .....does it ???

Captains captain.

Ain't no one more wests tigers than Roberto Farah.

Taylor deserved to be clashed with.
Maybe Potter couldn't coach.
And Sheens needed a break.

Still, having some one with passion and pride like Farah on board isn't going to hurt.

Funny ...you don't ever see any other NRL club captain burying his club .......if you are not happy ...you leave ....

Why would you leave something you love , because it’s filled with people you consider incompetent? Wouldn’t you fight to get those people removed , especially if you considered them toxic ?

Also , maybe Robbie was humbled by the whole experience . Just because you think 1 way today , doesn’t mean your locked into that thought for the rest of your life .

Potter did follow , at that time , the second winningest coach in history . A bloke famous for being a tactical genius , sometimes to the detriment of the team . By those standards maybe Potter couldn’t coach ? Or Robbie had it easy his whole career , and needed a huge reality check .
Who knows .

Would you bail on the club happy , that you obviously love , if it had people in charge y thought were harming the joint ?

Yeah ...but I'd have the class to keep it in house ...big difference

Like Gordie had the class to keep a private comment private?
Besides there's never been any proof that Farah was talking to the press about any coach or actively trying to get rid of them.
Just a throwaway line (apparently) to that boofhead Tallis.

Gordie's a journo ...if your dumb enough to tell a journo anything .....

Tallis is not a journo - he's a commentator.
If Farah said anything, and I am still not convinced what Tallis recounted, then Tallis is a bum for breaking a 'so called' friends trust.
PS Even if he considered himself a journo they don't quote what people say off the record... none of them.
Grub of the highest order... and now he's got his head so far up his own backside thinks he can ruin players careers with just a word from him.

Agree - loose cannon. Thinks he is protecting his mates but in fact he just inflames the situation and creates a media circus around
who he thinks he is protecting. Pretty sure Kevvie would have preferred Tallis to keep his mouth shut because he has now caused further tension with his players, just like he did with our club.

I disagree. I think Tallis is an old school bloke and if he thinks you have broken a principle he will front you and front the circumstance. I actually respect that.

I witnessed Tallis fight three guys outside Kogarah oval on a Friday Night after the St George Leagues club disco when he was coming off the bench for the Dragons and I'd guess Danny Green would have had second thoughts about stepping in. Bloke went like a madman in a thrashing machine. Few of the victims mates thought they were going to join in, changed their minds after about 6 seconds...

Tallis doesnt strike me as the fake tough guy type.

It is absolutely hilarious that Lodge is on his way days after the Broncos said hes going nowhere.

That club is really a basket case at the moment.

Latest from Peter Badel Courier Mail

The Dragons have joined the Wests Tigers and Bulldogs by registering interest in Pangai Jnr, who remains hot property despite suggestions the Broncos have backflipped on plans to offload him.
The Broncos dropped a bombshell a fortnight ago by advising Pangai Jnr, who is contracted until the end of 2022, that he is free to find another club.
Broncos coach Kevin Walters has reportedly had a change of heart, but that hasn’t stopped a number of NRL rivals reaching out to Pangai Jnr’s management in a bid to prise him from Red Hill.
Tigers coach Michael Maguire was so keen on Pangai Jnr he began due diligence on the forward several weeks ago.
It is understood the Tigers were ready to table a two-and-a-half year deal for an immediate transfer, but Pangai Jnr’s asking price, said to be in excess of $700,000 a season, shapes as an impediment.
The Tigers have got wind of interest from the Dragons, who have a history of signing Broncos players.
Incredibly, this year’s Dragons squad already has eight ex-Broncos, including Josh McGuire, Gerard Beale, Jack Bird, Corey Norman, Ben Hunt, Tariq Sims, Andrew McCullough and Daniel Alvaro.
A ninth former Bronco, Cowboys’ Queensland Origin prop Frank Molo, will link with the Dragons next season.

Could the Broncos be foxing to keep our eyes off someone else ???

Lodge being released might actually hurt our chances of getting TPJ - they weren't able to register Capewells contract until they released a player from their deal next year and that was lodge, now they have no real reason to release Pangai (although knowing Kevvy it could easily still happen)

Are they at 30 for 2022 already..?

No idea but that's what i read, he was on like a million a season there so I'm sure it helps having him gone. Maybe it's more it just helps their cap so they're able to sign more players for 2022

we already tried for Cobbo and Robati and both of them re-signed, I'm unsure there's much that gets past our football department in terms of potential players with Woodward's identification system

Brent Read saying he thinks we've gone cold on signing tpj.

Essentially absorbed Packers contract with some change...

That's a bit steep if you ask me.

I don't think so. Let broncos pay $250k of his contract

He's off contract after next year, eh?

He'd be our highest paid forward at 700k, once Packer is gone and you'd expect good output for that cost and reason alone.

Last thing we need is a forward version of Mbye.

Anyway, if he plays at good standard every week, at 700k... I think that's not so bad.

I’m certain I read on here from “reliable sources with inside knowledge” that TPJ’s manager had agreed to our terms….

I reckon 3% of the 'reliable sources" end up being reliable on here lol. Everyone on here gets a lot more wrong than right

$700k for a forward means They’re just about the best in the world. TPJ way too inconsistent for that

Yeah, I agree.

High end for a forward.
But... we need some starch for our pack.

I don't think TPJ is one that'd open the door for other signings to follow as he doesn't strike me as that player players want to play with.

Interesting times ahead though.
