I’m telling you, TPJ might seem like an x-factor, and he no doubt can be, but the suspensions will wear thin real fast.

His presence though, when on field is the real threat... to opposition.

Madge needs to sit him down and work out strategies where he can control his aggression whilst playing his natural game and creating that second phase play we desperately lack.

I think a few of the other forwards could really benefit from a player like TPJ and hopefully they work as a strong unit with guys like Gildart, Luarie and AD following along for those offloads.

TPJ could be huge for us from transforming us from a soft pack to a feared one.

Demps : I'm not disagreeing with you but, quite a few on here are adamant that Madge can't coach.
So if that's the case how is he going to coach TPJ **and** change his aggressive attitude.

Madge is on thin ice, Sheens, Kimmorley and Farah added to the staff , is an indicator the club is not happy with the coaching, I was a fan , but i think he is past it. The hard nosed coach that got results, has turned into the Bennet father figure, which is not working.

Kimmorley is in the role that Hodgo was originally going to have. He is the Pathways Coaching Manager.

They all have other jobs, i know. I just think the management is covering their butt , in case Madge has a falling out. We have not improved the defence, offloads and 2nd phase play is almost non existant. Game plan ,we look like head less chooks. Confidence is Zilch. What is the coach responsible for? If not these basics?, I won't even get into the team selections. The old saying- if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it is a duck.

Well Reynolds Packer and Matalino played a total of 91 games out of a possible 223 games so far
And I say so far because Packer is still with us
Also Packer and Reynolds came off the bench in quite a few of those games
If We do sign TPJ and he gets a suspension for smashing someone and he gets 4 weeks I think many of us would wear that
Especially if it's a Mosses or Matterson type player
I wouldn't be 100% happy with a suspension but he is an aggressor we need at this club

If Luciano Leilua was at peak fitness would we not already have a TPJ? Both big boned and pretty mobile with an offload. I don’t think we could carry both. They don’t look like the back rowers at the top sides who tend to be lighter and more agile.

The 4 week suspension he is currently serving was for a pure accident, basically a nothing incident. His cards are marked at the judiciary, his next suspension will be even longer than 4 weeks, the one after that will be more severe again and so-on and so-forth. The loading will dice his playing days up like a butcher's knife.

It’s 3 weeks people! He took the early plea.

3......4 it doesn't really matter. Bottom line is he will be missing plenty of games in the years to come.
People who are saying they want his aggression/intimidation but without the suspensions are kidding themselves.
The only bloke in the league who gets to play that way without suspension is JWH. No player wearing a WT jersey is getting away with that.

Doubtful

You guys must be watching the lowlights reels if all you see is intimidation and suspension 😂
He is everywhere on the field, throwing cutout passes to wingers, chasing through and leaping for the highball, tackling wingers into touch metres from the line.
He’s a footballer who can score a try and be part of the solution at this joint.

Madge is as safe as can be and IMO he should be.

This under performance of the WTs of the last 15 years predates Madge.

The current leadership must be given a few more seasons to establish the culture and roster that we fanatics want.

Money in the cap is coming as is Sheens.

Madge is only the second coach to secure a contract extension at WT, the other one (the floater) is on his way this month. Let’s see what they can achieve together?
