That kick

Think the 72m drop kick by Richards deserves its own thread.

He killed it. Biggest ever in the NRL?

That was huge haha. It's great having someone in the team who can do things that are a bit different.

Hekk yes…he is a polished finisher...who gives us massive kick difference...his drop outs, kick offs and goal kicks are best in league,

Thought that today, such a talented kicker, maybe a career move post tigers premiership?

Well its a good omen
Benji has gone and a few others too but we have some of the 2005 members in the squad.
Shame Dene is out injured.

Gotta think Richards would make a fortune as a punter in the NFL.

Exactly what I was thinking… Astute signing Richards is and to. Think many bagged us when we signed him...

usually happens when people make comments on players they haven't seen for 8 years.

I bagged the signing. So far I was wrong.

Thought it was going to be about Anasta's kick for touch… Been taking lessons from Benji!

How good is it to know that when we score tries we have a fairly certain extra 2 points regardless on where it has been scored?

And to have some one who can produce huge drop outs and those hangtime kicks to start us off, they all boost the team and lift us straight away its such a great asset.

I thought the touchie was giving him a bit of grief with the cm difference of the ball from the sideline a few times….

There probably not as strict on where to place the ball during a goal kick in the Super League so Patty is probably just getting used to it…...(It's his 2nd game in the NRL in 8 years and he is absolutely killing it!)

It changes the focus of the set by the opposition. They only had one attacking tackle in our 20m before having to kick.

With regard to kicking in general, whilst I have probably only watched 5 NRL games this season, our kicking yesterday under the new rules is the best I have seen. Brooks in particular was excellent as I can't remember any of his kicks going over the dead ball line. Every kick was either coming down in the 10m area or pulling up in the in-goal. Kicking is so critical now with the (stupid) zero tackle rule from the 20m line.
