Just to get myself away from the doom and gloom for a bit and forget the football side of things.

Disregarding the result it was a good event at Ashfield tonight, Keith Galloway was great and we chatted for about 15 mins about his career and life.

My favourite response was about how he would go in the game today which is dominated by 6 agains, his answer was crap and that he used to give away penalties anytime he got tired to get a breather. I think their were people that used to accuse him of that on here back in the day.

I actually had it as one of my questions but skipped it due to time. I did ask about his involvement in the game and he has little involvement which I find to be a bit disappointing. He said he is just a fan now but looking forward to his kids getting to an age when they can play.

I also asked him about the Hoppa hit he copped as a teenager which saw Hoppa suspended for 17 weeks and whether that factors into his opinion on the head high crackdown we are seeing at the moment. He said Hoppa would have been suspended for 17 years if it happened now. He went on to say that Rugby League is a tough sport played by tough men.
