The Ashes 2015

On reflection, Clarke was shiting bricks when interviewed by Aggers on the ABC after the toss. Usually Captains will try to stay upbeat and look at the positives. All Clarke could say was ''we lost the toss, nothing we can do about it now''.

A pub cricket side would do better than that even if they had a few schooners each before going out to bat.

Extras top scored for the Aussies with 14

At one stage they were 7/29 ….At least the tail wagged !

Aussies all out for 60

Broad 8/15

Has to be close to the greatest Ashes figures of all time.

Jim Laker got 19/90

Bob Massie got 16 wickets on debut

Greatest 1st innings figures in Ashes history.

Might want to recheck those facts GNR

Laker got 9/37 in the 1st innings and 10/53 in the second innings in 1956 v Australia at Manchester

He got 46 wickets for the same series as well

There's talk of bringing over the Aust A team to replace this mentally weak team. The thoughts are that Aust A batsmen have a backbone.

The sad part was Clarke saying that the batting conditions were hard with the ball moving both ways. The pitch was not a minefield. In first class cricket most bowlers can swing or cut the ball. Oh, where was Chappelli? The best batsmen ever in a crisis.

We can look forward, though, to the same team next test. To let them regain their honour! Lol
