Another great knock by Khawaja. Amazing the amount of crap the Marsh brothers cop, they are a punchline. Yet this guy gets off scot free.

I really like watching Khawaja bat when he actually gets a start, but he's a poor mans Mark Waugh. Technically beautiful stroke player, but absoutely no mettle and always looks like he's ready to bottle it.

Amazing that Renshaw got hoisted after having a great home series last year yet others got a start.

Maxwell averaging 74 at 3 for Victoria. Might be worth considering for the SCG. Offers another spin option too.

Stephen O'Keefe will play in Sydney.

Not likely since Agar has been called in and SOK hasn't.

Yeah just saw that. I would prefer we drop Kawahja for Handscomb and Marsh for Agar. Handscomb has more upside as a 3 then Kawahja and Agar is a better bowler than Marsh.

I hope Starc pulls up good for the next one though, cos our bowling attack was real shaky without him.

My 5th test team:

1\. Cameron Bancroft
2\. David Warner
3\. Peter Handscomb
4\. Steve Smith
5\. Shaun Marsh
6\. Ashton Agar
7\. Tim Paine
8\. Pat Cummins
9\. Mitchell Starc
10\. Josh Hazelwood
11\. Nathan Lyon

Would not surprise me if we have a 1st innings box set lead…

Nice one Garry..

Hey mate what's the score ?

My TV's on the blink !

How did the Poms finish up..Did they manage to destroy Australia's batting….hard to get signal here in Whakatane...

The Poms fought hard Geo they really did , but due to a garbage MCG wicket a draw was a fitting result !
Those coin operated TV's in Whakatane are crap aren't they !

Maybe try a 2 star motel next time

I am proud . But even you would've made a century on that wicket

It was which a slug of a wicket, 90% of batsmen today would have bored themselves out long before they got near a hundred. That’s why Smith,Warner and Cook all got runs, they are both experienced but more importantly incredibly mentally tough, unlike most batsmen running around in the ashes

Looking forward to the NY Test . Sydney mostly produces a pitch that has a little bit for everyone . I wonder with all the complains against the Melbourne one if they leave a bit more grass on it.
Happy New year to all WTF’ ers. We went to the Terrigal fireworks. There was a mishap with the barge and fireworks .a wave hit it and knock the fireworks over. Causing most to explode at once in the direction of crowd. No one was hurt badly . But Terrigal was cleared while the emergency made sure the technicians were ok .Eventful night.

It could have been nasty. My wife and I were watching from the balcony of our place overlooking Forresters Beach. We were enjoying the display and then all of a sudden there was nothing. Obviously all the action was happening below the headland. Glad no-one was hurt.

Pretty dumb move putting a barge packed with large scale fireworks into water the gets swell. I was surprised when I saw the Police boat towing the barge away from calm waters near the boat ramp towards where the flags normally are outside the surf club. I’m staying at Wamberal. Good times.

Good toss to lose IMO.

Hopefully Starc gets a bit of movement in the air and we trouble them early. Conservative decision from Root given the conditions would better suit their bowlers, hasn't recovered from his decision in Adelaide.

I take it there was a full days play cause happy's. gone missing…

Looking at the Cards looks like the Poms surrended meekly again and Uzi and Smudge have us mowing them down...

Smith is looking good again and his stats are amazing …. quickest man since Bradman in regards to innings to reach 6000 runs since Bradman

But it shows how scary good Bradman was ..... 37 innings less or almost a 1/3 less innings than the next best :astonished:

Hope Ink and CB enjoyed the day

If some want to see what we can look forward to South Africa switch to Fox

India are 6-81 and the pitch is seaming all over the joint …....on Day 2

Yeah it was good.
The missus probably doesn't appreciate it….she found it odd to leave while no result unlike footy...asked me why doesn't everyone go on the last day when they all know who wins.
Gave me THE look when I tried to explain that one to her.

I didn't end up going unfortunately.

Yeah India are having a rough time, that's what happens when you play something like 12 home tests on their dustbowls though. I don't think we'll have a particularly fun time over there either but we'll handle it better IMO.

Leave the Poms.in the field until it starts to cool down….44' here now ....6 down now as marsh is run out
