THE BOARD - Tell them what you think of their performance, now!

I’m not sure your providing anything of value with that reply
People are kidding themselves here. It is a privately owned company with a very valuable asset, being an NRL license. Furthermore, the NRL license is between the NRL and that privately owned company and worthless otherwise. People here dreaming that the Tigers would somehow change its proprietary and hand anything, be it proprietary, ownership, control or direction to anyone, let alone a disparate group of fans is absolutely ridiculous. Like 12 year olds dreaming.

Dream on kids

and to answer your original question more directly, its a privately owned company and therefore the corporate structure and rules is at the proprietors whim notwithstanding Corporations Act and taxation requirements.
That’s what I was wondering. So essentially, despite it being a legal requirement to hold an election for the Chairman position. How or when that takes place and to an extent is reported is entirely internally up to the company at question.

I dont believe that there is any legal requirement to hold an election for Chairman. The board is appointed by the owners. They are not a publicly listed Company beholden to shareholders, they are only beholden to their owners.

Hey guys, we met with the review team last week. I am confident that the guys conducting the review are doing so in good faith and are very genuine about making recommendations that will improve the club moving forward. If the recommendations are implemented we will get some real positive change at the club.

Thanks, that’s really good news.
I hope they don’t rush through their discovery phase, because sometimes things aren’t what they appear to be on the surface.
I still think they should have got in an organisational development professional for the job, but it is what it is, and any improvement would be gratefully appreciated.
Great to hear some positivity.
Thanks again for your consistent efforts.

Did they give you any time frame on how long the review might take to complete?

Why re-sign Lee Hagipantelis for another 3 years, and particularly at this time?
Let me partially answer that question with more Questions?

Is it possible the board is already aware of some of the recommendations of this ‘review’, and therefore expecting to have wholesale changes on the board? Perhaps at least 4?
Including the possibility of changes to policies and procedures, and including communication concerning the footy department? I’m not a big fan of Lee, mainly because he tells us what we want to hear, but he does have the leadership qualities to stabilise a relatively new board which presumably behaves differently.
If not Lee, then who?

He signed himself, no point targeting him. Let’s try and have serious malignant influences and bias’ removed?
