We have some average players, but even those players are not playing up to their ability.

There seems to be no structure in attack or defence, no gameplan and not team work.

The bench rotation has been absolutely terrible for years with tired players left on too long, players on the bench playing minimal minutes.

There is a gameplan, just not a very good one. We are running block plays that were successful about 5 years ago at half pace on the back of no go forward. If anything the attack is playing too structured and the style we are using does not suit our players, no one runs the ball with any intensity. I defence we are waiting for the attacking players to engage our defensive line and then trying to hold the player up to allow the defensive line to reset. Problem is we are giving away easy metres, have backs running through our tackles.

We are lacking desire, purpose and hard running in attack and sting in defence, the game is played much more through the middle of the ruck now and we are still shuffling side to side.

Do you think it’s time to part ways with him?

I don't think Madge is getting through to players. Think Hartigan is the man buying the players so losing Madge woukd not be end of the world.
Maybe John Morris ? not sure

I am coming around to that way of thinking but it concerns me, I don't think we will attract a better coach. I am worried what starting a new rebuild does to our long term survival as a club.

At this stage I lean to bringing in the best assistants we can find to give Madge more support.

Okay so we sack Madge, then what? The next coach comes in, says he hasn't got the right type of players for his style, spends the next 2 years cleaning out the roster, then in 2024 we are where we are right now again.

Then in 2024 we sack that coach, next coach does the same thing, and so on. Occasionally someone will come in with an eye for instant success, and royally mess up our roster so badly that it sets us back 4 years (Cleary).

I'm riding this train all the way to wooden spoon station. I'd rather come last than stay in a perpetual loop of the last 10 years - which is what WILL happen if we sack Madge.

I think Ciraldo would be excellent...and Ciraldo would not say they are the wrong group as he knows most already from Penrith / junior reps.

I'm pro madge I can see his plans, however the average Joe in the street can see chee kam is not a centre.

Honestly I feel for our forwards they are playing their guts out. Our back line is woeful

Couldn't agree with this any more and also with your other post - that our gameplans are too unimaginative and uninspired for today's game.

We need an experienced coach, not some rookie. This club is incredibly difficult to work with and only one coach has managed to be successful here. John Morris isn't ready to be the head coach here but I would be on the phone to him in the morning trying to get him here as an assistant.

Well we got an experienced coach and it didn’t work. What we need is someone who understands the modern game and can build rapport with players. Madge fails at both of those things.

Yep and we had rookies and they failed as well. We actually need a coach that can handle the internal mechanisms at the club, that takes experience. Madge is failing with game planning, the bests clubs have strong assistants to make up for the coaches weaknesses. So lets get in a good tactical coach and someone that works well with players as assistants.

another week with no excuses in terms of getting up for a game, another game we don't. clocks ticking madge

I have had concerns about Madge for a long time and it seems to be playing out how I thought it might. I think starting another rebuild now just about ends the club.

For so long after Cleary left, he got a free run because “this is not his team”. Well now, it 100% is and we are seeing the results.

The game has moved on but the coach is still playing yesterday's game ,what a disaster this has become .
If the club has an option it needs to be implemented immediately and a new coach sourced for 2022.

I have been sticking up for Madge for a long time but I am so sick of losing and something needs to change urgently.
I don't have the answer but if we let Madge go I would go after Flanagan.. For some reason players really want to play for him.

Changing our coach is not the answer that sounds a simple solution cause it’s one bloke in the fireing line. The problem is more widespread than that
