He is a decent final ten min each half forward in broken play.

But he is a TERRIBLE outside back...just absolutely woeful defensively.

Our problem is we give him that 17 spot and he is our 'cover' for the backs also. We need a massive upgrade in outside back cover on the bench.

Yes and no ..
Watch again ...Mbye was worse in defence and he’s an origin player .
Centre is the hardest position to defend and everyone says he’s a rock solid defender in that position so defending on the wing should be a breeze..but Mbye was puss .

Have a go defending a high kick like that with a player with substantial height advantage running at you .... no way .... and then tell me what the other three WT “traffic cones” defenders were doing standing around looking like we’re ready for a game of cards.
Absolute rubbish.


The lack of effort from Mbye in that instance was garbage at best
Didn’t even try to jump or didn’t even try to wrap up Feldt with the ball .

The smart play would have been to try and hold Feldt up once he caught the ball. He was never going to out jump the bloke, he's a specialist at that. This is where some footballers are smart between the ears whereas as others are simply good athletes and do as they're instructed.

Even after Feldt had landed with the ball Mbye gave up ..not good enough!

Yes it’s nice to have one player we lost not come back to bite us on the arse.

Indeed. The alternative title for the eels vs roosters game was "Wests tigers player giveaways that bit them in the arse"


Out of all the players that have left us........3. Its not that bad a strike rate. IMO Teddy is the only one I regret leaving.

Taupau, Teddy, Moses, Matterson, Suli, Sironen (he's been quite good for Manly), Papenhuyzen, Addo-Carr

I could stretch it to Tapau, Teddy and maybe JAC, not the others (although Sirro was good today)

I am surprised about the criticism as most of the tries came on the wing where we had no winger. We had Mbye on the wing and that is not his position. Most of the Cows tries came due to the fact that we had our winger injured.

Welcome Lil and yes, whilst wingers score a lot of tries, conversely, common sense says they will also be conceding tries to their opposite. Mbye jumped and swatted at the ball in the air. So basically, he had a go from a flat footed position, whilst his taller opponent had a running leap.
