The Doueihi move

Royce Hunt….jack Bird….dud buys
Compared to what? They both ripped in for half the season. Hunt struggles with fitness and Bird with injury/discipline but they still put it all over the Mbye/Packer/matulino period. To be fair I didn't mind Matulino, he had a crack. But the other 2 were on 1.5 million together and offered waterboy skills.

Sorry but they aren't dud buys. Especially Bird. He's done what is required with the pricetag.

AD our best player the last 3 weeks but everyone wants to get rid of him instead of the 29 others in the top 30.
Makes sense on here. 🤣
I like AD & agree that he has been good for the last few games. Maybe he thought he better pull his finger out & strengthen his upcoming contract negotiations ?? He was very non committal in his tv interview last night - to the point of refusing to answer if he was happy to remain with the WT's . I didn't like the vibe he was putting out at all & actually found it a bit disrespectful to a club that has backed him through his various injuries/recoveries etc over the years.

I haven’t really watched Wigan play aside from a few highlights.
Do you think Kade Ellis could play this role reasonably well for us ?
A few things I’ve heard makes me think he could be open to an earlier than expected return to Australia should an opportunity arise.
100% he can - he has been awesome for Wigan but he is playing in a system which allows him to perform but he has been impressive with his growth as a player for Wigan.

To be fair it’s not up to him.
He’s had plenty of interviews where he’s been happy with the club and Benji.
Now it’s up to the club if they want him and how much they will pay… and for him to accept or look elsewhere.

All Pascoe and Lees' fault -
Just year 1 of the Current coaching set up and rebuild
I always thought.of the 5 new main recruits (JL..turuva..skelton..hunt and bird) we'd be long long odds all 5 would be great buys.... going by or history its just too much to ask. Less so for some other clubs

Coming into the Season,
I thought Turuva was over rated here,
Skelton had 8 NRL Game behind him (Was also over-rated here)
As was Hunt (He wasn't going to turn into something he's never been at 30 odd in a Struggling team)
I thought Bird could do a job as a Utility - Bey he's not been played as that, We have him on the bench - And a Hooker (Stupidity)
Luai and May have proven they can do a job.

I feel, It's becoming a little more widely understood just how big a shitty ship the WT's has been for a long time.
And Big Shitty Ships take a long time to turn around - No matter how good the Skipper is.

I'll say it again, It's in the walls of the Joint.
We've never worked for it, When never earned it...
We don't even know what it is.
That's why all the guys that come here from places that do know what it is, Leave shaking their head (Usually before their time is up)

Our entire existence has been built off giving the ball to someone and waiting for the magic to just happen - Outside those times, We've been skipping around in circles waiting for someone with that Magic to (magically) re-appear.

We have some of the best talents to come through in a long time, I can't with hand on heart confidently say they're not wasting there time here. I wish I could.

What's another year of hoping hey old mate?

What were the expectations for Turuva ? He is on $425k which I think is fine … Skelton is on less than $300k so I hope no one was thinking he was going to be the next Eric Grothe ( Snr)

Trust! He Cleary didn’t trust Luai to cover Boyd and or put the stop on Niokora.
He tripped up Luai by not numbering up and covering his man...

The sliding defence had it covered!

He's a perennial loser & an entitled douchebag like Nofa!!l

If we had a more stable squad and a better balanced forward rotation - Royce could have been a point of difference and a genuine weapon (which I'm sure was the intention when signed)!

Do you agree Snide Hunt needs to pull his thumb out and bring down his weight to achieve more minutes.

Not at his age - he was signed for impact not big minutes.

Kolomatangi this year proves that you need to find keep big forwards in their ideal playing-weight range - & not just force loss of weight/size for the purposes of supposed endurance.

But looking at his last game in 1st grade he looked much bigger than the beginning of the season when he looked good, think he may have been dropped for letting himself go.

He was required to START his last game in first grade - and was off the pace.

But he was never supposed to be a starter - and I'd still take him over that media boosted bum Stefano who is on 3 times Royce's price (not including his Origin cheques)!

He's been playing more minutes in reserves so he could be ready for another appearance could use him this weekend our pack is light compared to the Titans

Doueihi defending in the middle is going to be their spot player - his sliding defence is non-existent!
Yep but if he does manage to keep Tino quiet and do a job in defence it gives us more options with our backline and could be a great combination with Latu and Luai.
